Expectations after six cycles of Taxotere
My husband was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer nearly three years ago, receiving a regimen of
ADT
, which included abiraterone, Lupron and prednisone. When that no longer worked, he started first-line chemotherapy. He just completed his sixth cycle.

i finished 28 sessions of IMRT on 1/24 and feel great except for the side effects of
ADT
. My last PSA in January was 0.2 (down from 34 when I started treatment last May 2022). Next PSA is next week so I’m getting the usual anxiety.

Follow up to "My trajectory after a 'vacation' and a new metastasis," and a new question
I though that the recommendation of the "tumor board" at Smilow Cancer Center in New Haven, CT, would be "doublet therapy" to treat the new metastasis that was found with a PET PSMA scan, (the second one that was found after my Lupron "vacation"; the first was treated with radiation--details of my case

Symptoms when ADT no longer works?
Hello, everyone! I have begun year two of stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer and I have BRCA2. Taking abiraterone + prednisone daily and Lupron shots twice a year. I am doing my best to live one day at a time but wonder what things will look like when the cancer becomes resistant. Does anybody know?

ADT- Low Total Cholesterol- Low Serotonin in the brain = cause of Anxiety and Depression?
I have been experiencing short bursts of anxiety about topics that seem very irrational to me . They come and go in a period of 12-18 hours. I have had about 6 episodes during the last year. In the beginning my "Scout" voice tried to over ride the negative thinking with rational thinking. During the

My decision on Radiotherapy -v- Prostatectomy
I hope this story might be useful to others. I'm based in the UK and had a PSA of 12.7 from a test in June 2023. That led to an MRI in August with a PI-RADS of 5 with irregularity on the front of the prostate. I eventually had a biopsy at the end of September after 3 cancellations (this was through the

Lancet: Adding Avadart to Active Surveillance significantly statistically improved outcomes. 18% had cancer disappear on follow up ct scans.
No other drug but Avadart / finasteride can make that claim -- certainly not
ADT
... which mutates the cancer to crpc. Avadart has no significant side effects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g0m8ATOLaM
