I had a RO approximately 2 1/2 years ago with a recurrence 12 months later. I have had 37 sessions of radiotherapy and am in month 16 of 18 hormone therapy in the UK.
My incontinence seemed to solve itself around 12 months after RP but never fully. In the past 12 months I still suffer from minor involuntary incontinence. Although slower due to the ADT I still exercise regularly and am fairly active.
Has anyone had a urethral sling procedure and if so, did it work?
Are there any other options that are successful?
Thank you.

I’d like feedback about the sling too. My RP was 4 1/2 years ago and have had minor incontinence ever since, 1-2 pads per day. I can tell you that I’ve had two ProAct procedures with no success .
The ProAct sounded so positive and simple but the balloons which squeeze the urethra at the bladder neck migrated out of position which made them ineffective , very discouraged I must say.
Perhaps you could locate a Dr. On line close to you that does this surgury to get more info about it. Supposedly the success rate is around 80%.
So, how about the sling?? Feedback would be helpful.
Yup, I had one about ten years ago some time after an RP which left me which with more significant incontinence than you have; the surgeon said it wouldn't be perfect afterwards but would maybe be a 90% improvement, and it was, probably more than that. As surgeries go (I've had a bunch) it was minor, outpatient, don't even remember much about it at this point. Very glad I did it. When people have asked this question in the past the answers from other people indicate that it's not always such a success, but that's my experience.
