Does this say abi and Lupron is as good as it gets.
I can’t get the full text, but the abstract seems to contradict the idea of triplet as better than abi and
adt
. What did I miss? https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaoncology/fullarticle/2802132

New to the forum and doing Intermittent ADT
Decided against radiation and went with
ADT
only. My plan is to do
ADT
intermittently to get the best quality of life possible. Just trying to manage this. I've been on Lupron for just over a year now and about to start my first "vacation". Anyone else been down this road. Advice? Concerns?

bone pain after ADT
my husband had three years of
adt
plus 45 rounds of radiation. One lymph node Was involved so he was considered stage iii at dx. His psa went from 49 to >.04 In the first three months and never went up. He now has NED and will be checked every three months.

Levothyroxine and arrhythmia
Diagnosed with hypothyroidism in infancy. Been on treatment my entire life. Currently 200mcg levo daily. Last few years been having ectopic heartbeats and arrhythmia. Anybody else had this and is it linked to thyroid hormone treatment?

Interesting paper summarising state of art (2022) for ADT
From Chapter 5 on intermittent
ADT
“iADT may be considered after at least 9–12 months of
ADT
or until PSA nadir has been reached (in an ideal clinical scenario with PSA < 0.1 ng/mL).

Any experience with fever please?
Treatments have been RPT in 15, 1st line
ADT
, RT to prostatic bed in 19, enzalutamide, 6 cycles Docetaxel ending Jan 23, Olaparib until April, currently on Aberaterone. PSA jumped from 2.8 July 22 to 729 March 23. It seems Chemo and Olaparib weren’t effective.

PSA keeps rising
My current oncologist will likely recommend
ADT
and radiation. I'm not too happy with my oncologist and will probably request a change which will mean a few more weeks delay in treatment. Should I get
ADT
shot immediately?

Incontinence after RP and ADT
Although slower due to the
ADT
I still exercise regularly and am fairly active. Has anyone had a urethral sling procedure and if so, did it work? Are there any other options that are successful? Thank you.

Use hormone therapy or not with Proton therapy
Hi All, Question, doctor is suggesting hormone therapy along with proton therapy (28 treatments of radiation) my gleason score went from 3+3 to 4+3 last year and psa doubled from 10 to 20. I tried to get in to this study to determine the genetics of tumor but they said tumor sample was bad. should

Heavy news today
Hi Everyone, I am feeling really bummed tonight…over the past 5 months I was on Enhertu, I qualified because of the destiny trials. Long story short it was a disaster, not only did I have infection after infection but I ended up with extensive uptake in bone Mets and spread to my liver again (originally

T or E2
I'm trying to reconcile this with the fact that many men on this site are using supplemental estradiol patches while on
ADT
or using E2 as their sole T suppressant. If Dr Friedman is correct, we should be concerned with suppressing E2 not T.

New To The Thread
I’m still on
ADT
. I plan to start radiation (EBRT) in September I only have two measurable mets in my pelvic lymph nodes. My med oncologist says I have a “light load”. I don’t have a question at this point, I just wanted to introduce myself to the room.

ADT and ED Meds?
I am wondering if anyone on
ADT
is taking an ED med and what effects, if any, it has had? Is it less than ideal to throw this on the pile with
ADT
+ ARSi?

On path for an MRI-guided SBRT
There is evidence, both trials and anecdotal, that the
ADT
would have synergistic positive effects with the radiation in terms of killing cancer cells over healthy cells.

On
ADT
(Eligard and abirterone with predisone) since June 2022. Went for a second opinion this week with a medical oncologist who specializes in prostate cancer. He stressed the need for me to start on Prolia as soon as possible.

Wife seeking input regarding RT
ADT
(4 mo) recommended. Husband declined due to prior stroke and QOL issues. Turp was recommended for BPH, declined, and did PAE instead. SpaceOAR recommended, declined due to possible risks. Has had fiducials inserted.
