I would inquire further as MSK has a MRI guided machine and I don't believe Precise is that. I had the MRI treatment 3 months ago but had to take part in a study where they boost the radiation dose for a primary lesion.
My prostate moved 5mm during treatment and they could stop the radiation instantly and re adjust, I'm not sure that is true with Precise.
Overall MSK is a first rate organization, everyone I encountered was nearly perfect in their performance. I saw at least 10 doctors before settling there.
Thank, how many sessions of radiation did you get & where you on any ADT before & after radiation?
did your insurance or Medicare pay for 10 Doc opiinons?
looks like you can fits this 5 treatments & no ADT with boost to DIL each time takes around 60- 90 minute with empty bladder I was very happy more info mskcc.org/news/mri-guided-r...
It's just what they call their SBRT.
I will comment from the perspective of the care I received. I had HDR Brachytherapy 10 weeks after starting on ADT+Abiraterone. Followed by 27 rounds of EBRT my fiducial markers were gold and inserted at the time of the HDR Brachytherapy. I had the HDR Brachytherapy at the main campus in NYC and the EBRT in their West Harrison NY site. In both places I had compassionate and high quality care and continue my treatment at MSK. Coming up on 2 years of ADT and Zytiga in May. A great place to be treated.
Dr. Mychalczak is very good, TOPS in my book! You won't go wrong with him, or MSKCC!
I had that treatment last June, 2022. Five treatments and it was called MSK Precise. The only issue I had was the length of time in the tube. You need to prepare to be in there for an hour to 75 minutes. There are two pre-op meetings. The first was to insert the SpaceOAR gel and fiducial markers into the prostate. That went very smoothly and no pain or discomfort at all. The second is a longer session where they took an x-ray, CT scan and MRI and created a plastic cover by taking a hot piece of plastic and placing it over your abdomen while you're lying on the table. It then hardens so they can use it for your five treatments. They also put on 3 tattoos so they can make sure that you're lined up properly on the MRI for the 5 sessions and the plastic shell locks you into place. If you have a hard time with staying on the table for an hour, you can ask for a sedative. I also used a cream on my lower back like aspercreme, which helped because I have a bad back to begin with. No problem with claustrophobia because you can actually see out the back since you're in the tube so far. The nurses were Awesome! they made the whole process much easier. If you have any other questions, let me know. Mark
Also, my Psa dropped from 11.1 prior to treatment to 4 in September and 2 in December. So it definitely works!
Haven’t had a chance to read the comments or the link… with that in mind… I’d do treatment (SBRT with MRI tracking presumably) with Zelefsky or Kohlmeyer (sp) in a heartbeat.
Dr. Zelefsky da ra da da..... Dr. Zelefsky da ra da da sung to the tune of Officer Krupke from West Side Story...
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

you could walk across the street to NYP Weill-Cornell (Dr Nagar) . They have ViewRay SBRT.
I was told that MSK has, or was about to purchase a ViewRay. Of course capital equipment sales of that magnitude can take a very long time to happen, and I’m not sure where they are in the process.
Good luck
