biochemical re-occurrence
For those who had biochemical re-occurrence and were treated with
ADT
and radiation what has been your outcome over the years? basically, what I am asking were you cured and had a favorable outcome? How many years have you been with a low PSA, no further issues or, for that matter cured?

My Oligometastatic PCa Journey Continues...coming up on year 9!
It's been a while since I've posted. But wanted to offer a note of
encouragement
for those here that have
oligometastatic prostate cancer
. I was diagnosed in 2015 (227 PSA, Gleason 8, 1 MET in the spine) and still going strong. After years of
hormone therapy
, 6 rounds of
chemo

To treat or not to treat
By March 2020 this had caused my PSA to drop to virtually undetectable and I decided to come off
ADT
which I had been on (with some breaks) since April 2011 after RRP and RT to the prostate bed. Prior to radiotherapy
ADT
was ceasing to be effective and my PSA had risen to 6.75.

Low Testosterone and value of continuing Hormone Therapy
83 year old male with a question: My understanding is that the role of hormone therapy is to lower one’s testosterone level. Does hormone therapy provide additional benefits in fighting prostate cancer beyond lowering testosterone levels? I was diagnosed with high grade prostate cancer (Gleason 10

Abiraterone vs Docetaxel
Effectively, I am on a treatment plan that matches the CHAARTED trial of
ADT
+D. The CHAARTER, GETUG15, and STAMPEDE clinical trials confirm that I will derive a benefit from
ADT
+D, but there doesn’t appear to be any benefit that is greater than
ADT
+AAP.

11 months of vacatión and going strong, I think
I plan to return to
ADT
when PSA reaches 6, then go back on vacatión once I get my PSA back down to point one. This will hopefully get me to 80 and beyond.

Prostate cancer treatment and sexual mutilation
Well well. In the midst of the club no one wants to be a part of and just wanted to add my input. It seems that the treatment of prostate cancer often glazes over the fact that you will be sexually impacted severely. Depending on treatment outcome that could be a 0 to 7. Seems like the topic isn’t really

As you may know from my previous posts, I've been considering the estradiol patch, as the side effects of 4 years of
ADT
are mounting. (Spinal Fracture, Osteopenia, Fatigue, bone, joint and and muscle pain as well as general sick feeling.

Final STAMPEDE results for Abi with/out Enza when starting ADT.
It's certainly good to know that Abi + classic
ADT
might add a couple of years of life to
ADT
monotherapy, but at age 56 I would not have been impressed.

Back in permanent AF and warfarin dose decrease
Hi All, I used to have paroxysmal AF which was ablated by Prof Schilling back in 2010. I had been in NSR. However I was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in the summer. I had huge delays and postponements before I had a biopsy. I eventually got the results 5 weeks later (rather than the two weeks promised

I am considering starting the
ADT
/Regimen 03. Curious as to anyone else's experience with him or the regimen I mention? He has personally emailed me back on occasion, I think he is the real deal. If you have not heard of him, it is worth checking him out and deciding for yourself.

Side effects of Relvar Ellipta?
Hi, I have been on Relvar Ellipta for, I think, four years now. It works well to control my asthma, but I wonder if anybody has got any side effects from this medicine? Apart from asthma, I have problems with a heart valve (Mitral), and I am hormone treatment for prostate cancer, and also I take Budesonide

How soon after taking 4 month eligard shot can you switch to firmagon?
I started my hormone treatment with firmagon + apalutamide beginning 2023. The treatment worked fantastic and all my pain faded away and my psa dropped from 350 to .09 over 11 months. My life was as near normal as can be expected with cancer. Almost immediately my MO was recomending to switch to 4

What's the deal with ADT and increased risk of metabolic syndrome? Can anyone confirm this personally?
Just here to learn as much as possible.
