Your thoughts on getting off ADT while staying on AR inhibitor?
I don’t have as much drive for anymore big projects and of course no sexual drive, my energy is about 60% of peak before
ADT
. ( maybe my pitty puppy is tiring me out which is a great thing as she pushes like a trainer would) I have BIG plans for outdoor activities this summer.

Hormonal treatment for Endometriosis
I had an appointment with a specialist recently and I expressed the desire to have diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis. The specialist recommended that I try taking hormones in the meantime to see if that helps with pain management. He said that by taking hormones I could control my period and choose

Hi, I was diagnosed with extended DCIS with ER+, PR+.I had a total mastectomy with a diep flap 2 weeks ago, My surgeon referred me to medical oncology for hormonal therapy. I am curious do I still need hormonal therapy as I already had a mastectomy, as far as cancer recurrence and preventing cancer

Advice on hormonal treatment?
hi all, 10 days post-lap here. Unfortunately ended up losing my left ovary and tube - had 4 endometriomas on it, 1 of which was 8cm, and this was all adhered to my rectum. So the surgeon said it needed to come out. I’m waiting for a post-op appointment but the consultant said the endo will likely come

I posted previously on this long and tortuous journey to ( almost) a diagnosis. Best Weight Training for Hormone therapy
My team says I should do at least 4-6 months of
ADT
and i know weight training can help while on
ADT
. I am 71 and because of covid don't want to do training in a gym. Any suggestions on what sort of weights and regimen i should start out on at home?

When to start ADT, Salvage radiation or both for BCR after PSMA Petscan shows nothing?
Post RRP in 2009 and now having BCR with PSA rising to .20 over the last couple years, I was offered and opted for a PSMA Petscan to see if there was an identifiable spot of recurrence that could be treated early. The PSMA scan came back with no indication of the PSA source, so now I am wondering about

New study validates intermittent hormone therapy
PCRI just posted a new video titled 'New study validates intermittent hormone therapy'. So, just search 'PCRI' in YouTube and that video will pop up. Certain individuals on this site feel strongly against curtailing the duration of hormone therapy from the standard 2 to 3 years or even longer. I urge

my first post
Hello there, I’ve been dealing with this since 1/2015. I’ve had brachytherapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, cyber knife, immunotherapy, more chemotherapy, now taking Everolimus and letrozole. I’ve always felt that this was a chronic disease after the medications stopped working onto the next regimen

what is the role of a MO?
I’ve had RP, recurrence,
ADT
, salvage radiation. No one has ever referenced involvement by MO at any stage and RO seems to suggest he’ll handle it all if PSA rises. Is MO a “last ditch” team member? I know nothing about their role. Not itching to see a doc I don’t need, merely seeking info.

ADT Emotional Lability Do Antidepressants Help?
Dear All, I’m dealing with the emotional lability of
ADT
and was wondering if Antidepressants helped? Just curious about others experiences. I have tried escitalopram but was deathly nauseous 3 days in and stopped taking it and haven’t tried anything else. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
