Break from ADT or not?
Hi everyone, my Dad was recommended 18-24 months of Lupron/Zytiga/Prednisone after Radiation Therapy. We reached that time and MO said that is up to my Dad if he wants to continue the treatment or not. Lately my dad had high blood pressure over 200 and he ended up in ER, but now the blood pressure is

Next step
I have an appointment in two days and will advocate for prostate bed and lymph node radiation plus
ADT
Assuming 2 years. Biggest worry is rapid doubling. I will be meeting w my surgeon. Who should he be referring me to? And how fast should I push for? Seems time is of the essence?

PSA vs Testosterone plot has large scatter, but still confirms Morgentaler's Saturation Model.
This is an important result for
castrate-resistant
men who want to supplement their T level (for example, from 200 to 1000+ ng/dL) after completing their
ADT
treatment cycle.

Vacation from ADT
I searched but only came up with vacations at two years or so. I had a meeting with my MO today. He is conservative but suggested I could stop the meds. I was complaining of brain fog. He said to stop the Abi for about three weeks to see if there is any improvement and if not, stop Lupron. My story

5 aRIs and PCa and recurrence.
As was explained to me, 5 aRIs are kind of like a mini
ADT
so could be masking a more aggressive cancer. So this might help in determining that. 3 ROs are willing to treat now but are also OK with this approach.

Low-T is associated with worse Prostate Cancer Specific Mortality probability after 6 months of ADT: Part III
The cohort is: Unfavorable Risk after RT and 6 months of
ADT
. These plots show that the probability of dying from prostate cancer (after PSA failure) is significantly worse for men with Low-T.

radiation or no radiation
Based on quick rise and pathology Dr Yajnik recommends PSMA F18 scan and MRI for baseline only since there is a 95% chance nothing will show and start next week with
ADT
(6 months) and follow up with radiation 39 sessions in March/April.

melatonin
I would not recommend high dose melatonin for us who are on
ADT
and abiraterone. Impairs dexterity and cognitive ability.

Should I be concerned about a PSA of 0.53 after SBRT treatment for one spot.
After 18 months of undetectable PSA (after
ADT
& 44 IMRT treatments) , my PSA started to rise this summer and was 2.66 at it's highest. My RO send me for a PSMA- Pet scan and he found one spot on T-10. 5 treatment with SBRT in Oct - Nov and now on Dec 6th my PSA was tested to
0.53.

Are Lymph nodes a filter?
When I took the
ADT
, my PSA went from 1000, down to 6, and all evidence of cancer disappeared from my lymph, pretty much immediately.

Dental Issues with Finesteride
I've been off
ADT
all this time. PSA has been slowly rising and hit 2.8. My urologist put me on finesteride. It prevents the conversion of T to DHT. Five weeks after starting on it I experienced an onslaught of dental problems. Very sensitive teeth both top and bottom on left side.
