I'm a Newbie
After all, I figured that I was just swapping one nicotine habit/
addiction
with another. A few years ago I tried Champix. I had heard fantastic stories about taking these wonder tablets. Claims like "After taking them, suddenly you don't want to smoke!!!".

If there was an appropriate name for this
addiction
we all have here ,we could aptly declare it as having 'the runs' , but on second thoughts, may be not !!

Champix, quitting and life
I love how I don’t have the urge (
addiction
) to have to go outside or whatever because I ‘needed’ a smoke. or have to get home before I had one. I really cannot think of a single downside to it all. Wishing everyone a steady, successful journey!

60 and scared.
But of course there is the possibility of
addiction
. The one thing that helps me,Valium, will enslave me. I’m caught in a loop and scared.

New symptom liver itch
I'm currently seeing an
addiction
team to get off the tablets. My life has kind of spiralled in the last 3 years. My husband and I did ivf and I got pregnant but miscarried at 12 weeks. Then the stress made us split, it was my fault, not his.

Addiction or motivated?
So was thinking about this the other day.... when you ‘need’ to go for a run - isn’t that addictive behaviour?!!! Anyway, thought about it again today after ice skating and falling heavily on both knees and 3 hours later I’m off out for my run! Later I have compression socks and ice on my knees! No pain

Need help
I think it’s becoming an
addiction
and I’m very concerned about it. Right now I’m sitting at home alone with nothing to do except sit around and watch tv. I don’t have anyone to talk to and I wish I did. There’s a lot more going on but I guess this is a good start at reaching out for help.

Addictive Personality
I tend to go from one
addiction
to another like cigarettes which I quit in 2015 to help oil and including being very into healthy things as well but even tend to take it too far with those too, like obsessing over weight and cleanliness.

New here
I’ve also battled
addiction
in the past and lately every time I drink in social settings, I get a little carried away.. not purely because of how much I drink, but also with the way it interacts with the medicine I’m taking.

My story
I did not have an
addiction
issue, just hate them. But now I am mostly bedridden, and am feeling worthless and in a very dark place. I am NOT suicidal! But I often wish the pain would end, whether by it being miraculously fixed or dying.

Running Scared: Week 1 Done!
See, I am an addict to myself, so it makes sense to switch one bad
addiction
for another one. Even my brain seems to want this too. So here's to keeping it simple and consistent. Thanks for every one of you who replied to my first post. You are partly responsible for keeping me going.
