Hello everyone, with school starting soon and I may possibly be back to normal life outside and all (I have panic disorder with agoraphobia). I was prescribed klonopin in order to tackle situations that I can't handle (and for panic attacks). I'm thinking of taking klonopin everyday but I'm afraid of the possible addiction factor. What should I do?

School starting soon
fallenwing, there is a time and a place for medication. If you have been prescribed
Klonopin by your doctor, he must think that it will help get you through this difficult
time. Worrying about addiction cannot be a part of your decision in whether to take
it or not. It will leave you stuck. However, taking the med will allow you to function
every day. That is not a defeat.
I would not be where I am today if it weren't for the fact that I had help at one time
with taking medication. I also had therapy along with it which can help immensely.
When medication was no longer needed, I weaned off it. But at least I didn't stay
stuck during those years because I refused to take it.
Talk it over with your doctor again. Discuss your concerns, he may be able to relieve
your worries and assure you that you will be okay. Good Luck in your decision.
