I'm Putting My Life Back Together (But I'm Struggling)
I came back and told my parents to deal with my brother, who had descended into a raging opiate
addiction
. It got much, much worse before it got better, but I didn't fall apart as perhaps I would have done before. And he did begin his path to recovery, and is doing much better.

I have a deep
addiction
to Krispy Kreme donuts (in America, do y'all have those in Europe??) my friends make fun of me because they are most definitely my weakness.... they're just delicious and I love them... so I had those for breakfast yesterday.

Good morning Guys
It's been an integral part of my life for many years having suffered with
addiction
and walking into a twelve step group to help me stop. I still meditate, pray and use affirmations and lately started using affirmations around health to help combat the fibromyalgia.

Anxiety and loved ones
I have stood by him through the years of recovering from drug
addiction
and draining our bank accounts. I was always the strong one and now that I need him the most, he acts like I am a nuisance. Has anyone else been in this situation? If so, do you have any advice? Anxiety sucks!!

My love of running is well and truly resurrected!
After two sessions of running with the club I have signed up and simultaneously rediscovered my absolute
addiction
to running that I have not felt for some months now.

People scoff at self help groups: "My name's Steve and I'm an alcoholic," but sharing your thoughts and feelings online can help tremendously in the battle against
addiction
. Blog those blues away. Happy smoke-free weekend , guys!

Food is an
addiction
, and the bigger you are, the more addicted you are. I wish the NHS would treat obesity and people as individuals because one size doesn’t fit all. Anyway, my problem is the body I’m left with. I feel like a 70 year old woman .

Anyone on or taking propranolol? What are your experiences?
I've been suffering from anxiety and it's physical symptoms for many years and after avoiding medication (for fear of side effects and
addiction
) and trying (and failing) with different alternatives, I am coming to the conclusion that maybe I should try some kind of medication.

I quit Facebook and I feel much better.
I knew I was using Facebook as a distraction and it was not good for my ADHD but like an
addiction
I couldn't stop. Last week I finally found a discipline to take the app off of my phone and wow what a difference the last week has been.

Finally on meds, no physical anxiety symptoms anymore + tips!
Of course the bad thoughts are still here, but with the help from meds at least I am not exhausted anymore and I can actually use some sane human logic for the first time in a long time and perhaps get rid of my unhealthy alcohol
addiction
(because really, there are healthier ways to deal with this).

New to the group
I switched my
addiction
to tea, I found sipping on hot drinks really helped keep me calm and busy. I went all out on calming herbal teas which made a huge difference! Valerian tea from the health shop and loose chamomile flowers sometimes brewed in a teapot with filter.

Food addiction
Please give me some advice . I'm addicted to food. How can I stop thinking about food all the time? Whenever I see a food that I like I wanna eat it before everyone else does and I have this irrational fear that one day the food is going to end, so I eat it. When I eat, I think about what I'm going to
