why wouldn't the consultant order a scan of a goiter ( I have confirmed Graves Disease?)
A horse voice was what triggered the testing and thyroid finding in the first place / along with identification of silent
acid
reflux
( LPR) - and my voice is still not good either. Any thoughts welcome please. Many thanks

After 25 days back on prednisone...
Thank you to all who advised on my previous post. I have almost completed the first month back on 20mg day of prednisone. The effect was immediate, pain gone, stiffness gone, fatigue better, am motivated and catching up with chores I had neglected for months. I feel more positive now, even started

I’m currently having investigations into Endo-sorry long post but need some advice or any reassurance:)
Hi I’m Sara and I’ve just turned 22, this month, and over the last 3 years I have symptoms (similar to the ones listed for endometriosis) and they have become more severe or more frequent/longer episodes that have been stopping me from working or functioning properly (exercise, sex, going out); it has

I am a 74 year old woman with osteoporosis. I have taken 1 prolia shot 6 months ago and am scheduled for the second shot Oct. 10. I don't wish to continue on Prolia because I believe it is affecting my immune system. I can't take zoledronic acid because of kidney disease (CKD3a). Alendronate weekly

PPIs?
Just wondering how many are taking a PPI if they are taking Pred and alendronic acid? I have not taken any Omeprazole so far and my stomach has been fine but for the first time last night I had painful, burning reflux and I can still feel the after effects today so am not eating very much. This is

Attempting to transition off PROLIA…
I’m feeling quite overwhelmed with the volumes of great information. I do appreciation as I got none of this from doctors I’m conflicted more than ever on how to get off PROLIA without losing bone strength & avoiding potential side effects of various Busphosphonates: AA, Zoledronic acid, Actonel.

I was already taking propranolol for anxiety and lansoprazole for
acid
reflux
. This has really taken the wind out of my sails as I'm always out and about doing things but I've barely been anywhere in the past month.

A tooth with a life of it's own!
Hi, all. I wrote in several months ago about a painful tooth. My dentist couldn't find anything wrong with it. He finally referred me to an endodontist, and he did a root canal. Found several issues. Would have been nice if that had been the end of it, but no! The pain would not go away, and I

Supplements to reduce glutamate
I was inspired by Widebody's comments on taurine and glycine to look into supplements that reduce glutamate. I found the following on an autism website that I cannot vouch for, but here is the list: (those of us taking gabapentin, pregabalin, horizont are taking medicine that is reducing brain glutamate

He also has
Acid
Reflux
and this can result in lung infections if the food gets into his lungs - the specialist told him this. However he has now decided NOT to use the spacer but to squirt the Fortistair and the Ventolin directly into his mouth.

Complicated Case
I sometimes get
acid
reflux
and heartburn. I also have had issues to varying degrees with an eating disorder since I was 13 (I’m 41 now) I had anorexia, and wouldn’t like the idea of food in my system so I would manually evacuate (with medical gloves) to check I was empty.

Waiting for a Hysterectomy
Hello everyone, I am writing to ask for any advice/support or similar situations. I am 39, F, live in Scotland UK Have been having problems since May 2021 - heavy menstrual bleeding and pain, hadn't had any issues or bleeding for 20+ years on the mini-Pill Degestrel, so it came as a bit of a shock

Looking for advice, yet again, please.
I had an appointment to see my GP today regarding high blood pressure. I have been taking 10mg Ramipril for some time but recently BP has been high and erratic. Apparently, I cannot go to a higher Ramipril dose, therefore, need to change. I’m aware that some BP medication can interfere with RLS, so

Cutting out pop and takeaways sounds sensible. I cut out dairy products and most carbohydrates but I am cautious about recommending that as eating too much protein and not enough calcium to remove the amino acids may have caused the kidney stones which I have developed. I should think most of those who

silent Reflux
I have always had a touch of
acid
reflux
but not on a regular basis really. I had a camera down my throat years ago and it was disclosed I had a small Hyitas hernia. I have thought for the last few months had lots of mucous in my throat and also in my sinuses.

Zymot and PICSI
Hello, I believe this has been asked before but there hasn't been much response so hopefully maybe more might have incite or tips as time as gone by? Do you have experiences using Zymot or PICSI? Or even one thought, using both? Putting the sperm through the Zymot maze and then putting the sperm in

Newly diagnosed with PBC
Hi there! I just got my official diagnosis today and was started on Ursodiol. I have been feeling fatigued for about 13 years and no one could find a reason. In the last 3 years, my liver enzymes went up and I started getting even weirder symptoms. Neurological impairments, heart pain, muscle pain.
