Cold in Angola
The temperature here in Angola around 30 C, hot always, but last night after dinner I started shivering form cold, became very pale and sleepy. It lasted around 2 hours, I had to put on winter PJs to keep warm. Has anyone ever had anything like this?

Husband in rehab and disorientated/memory probs.
Hello. My husband had a brain injury on his brain stem. He stayed on ITU in a semi coma for 4 months. For the past 8 weeks he’s been in rehab. The most distressing thing is that he often seems disorientated and has a poor short term memory. Also he gets fixated on an idea which isn’t true but can’t be

Getting quite worried now, eating little and feeling nauseous, stayed off Imodium for 4 days, this morning couldn’t keep off the loo but only very little bits and greasy looking, lower back pain also. Does anyone have these experiences?

Completed!
I’ve just completed my fourth 30 minute run. I felt up for the thirty minutes by the end of Week 7. At 63 carrying just shy of 13 stone I never believed I could do it. Those 60 second runs scared me in week 1. I also got an injury part way through and after resting three weeks had to go back three weeks

Doctors
If pain treatment and/or desperately needed referrals are refused where can you get help? As a result of this treatment (or lack of it) in June 2019, I quickly needed to use crutches. Nov 2020, my severe bone on bone hip gave way, and I broke the good leg. Reluctance to answer my calls for help

Week 8 run 2 fail 😢
Feeling a bit despondent. Amazingly did run one and it was hard but I was so happy I went out yesterday and my little boy came on his scooter. He’s fast and I think my speed was too much. Ten mins in I had to stop I know everyone’s going to tell me to slow it down as I’ve been an idiot. Wish me

Does anyone take supplements only for UC and IBS-C rather than prescription drugs?
I was diagnosed with UC about 20 years ago and have been in remission for a while but have constipation. I'm prescribed Mezavant XL and docusate sodium, when I remember to take them. I've also been taking slippery elm and psyllium husk more often as prefer to take this in an attempt to keep me regular

Inability to look at screens. Can’t even glance at them.
He has never had a recorded concussion or brain injury but he has been in car
accidents
in which he hit his head with the person beside him and cracked that persons skull. An EEG also ruled out seizures.

Prednisone Tapering
I am trying to taper from 2.5 mg Prednisolone and as advised cut 2.5mg in half and added 1 to get 2.25mg. I am tapering very slowly in the hope of getting to zero. I’ve been on 2.25mg for 3 days and today had a bit of headache and a few aches but nothing that I couldn’t tolerate. Found this info

Agitation on vent
What’s some of your all’s personal experience or a loved ones personal experience, with trying to breathe over the vent. They said my dad was coming out of his sedation a little today and then he starts to breath real hard and he gets all agitated and anxious, so then it in turn messes with his oxygen

Is infrared therapy helpful for pmr?
I have recently been diagnosed with fairly severe osteoarthritis in my knee and also pmr. Some research suggests infrared therapy is helpful in relieving arthritis pain. Has anyone used it to help pmr pain and stiffness? I am thinking of buying an infrared lamp. Thanks.

Hey All, I’m writing here as I know your support is amazing and I always feel better after hearing responses! I started running about 3 years ago when my mental health deteriorated. How long after might I have a bowel movement?
Hi, Does anyone know how long after a cleared volvulus (sigmoidoscope and decompression) should I be having a bowel movement? In middle of being diagnosed
If not I’ve had
accidents
😣 I’ve been attending the doctor about it and he’s been very good, he arranged a colonoscopy and thankfully it was clear (they were looking for cancer) I was then told I’d get a telephone appointment from a gastroenterologist, so he phoned this week and said I don’t know why

Catheter worry
Hi, could you please give me some advice. My dad has been recovering from severe covid, long time ventilated etc. He’s still quite confused and not fully physiologically aware. They removed his catheter yesterday, but he’s been retaining his urine, so they’re putting another catheter back in. I’m so
