Complex 54mm ovarian mass and raised CA125, any advice? x
The report specified it could potentially be an endometrioma or tubo ovarian
abscess
. I then was put on antibiotics but dull ache is still there. 7-8 days later my CRP is normal, my swab shows no sign of STI or infection, however my CA125 is raised at 75.

Puzzled of Bradford
From a few days in it leaked and attachment of tube to my side was not perfect or so it seemed - after a week or so there was a problem that needed a procedure to clean some build up of an
abscess
in that area - it continued to be somewhat of a problem until the tube was removed Once removed in March

Beginning to investigate my diagnosis
LACK of pain - I had a broken tooth with an
abscess
- IT DID NOT HURT (thank all that is good for a great dentist!) I sit on my legs (I know bad habit) - I no longer get painful pins and needles - I do still get the muscle weakness though.

Pelvic inflammation and abscess. Treatment advice please.
Hi, I was diagnosed with pelvic inflammation and tubo ovarian
abscess
to my right side after a hospital admission last year with acute pelvic pain. It had rummbled for five months prior in flares that to be honest I thought was terrible trapped wind.

Anyone seen 'Root Cause' film on Netflix? It's about how bad root canal is & how it can cause various illnesses...
I wish I saw it years ago before I had my root canal, which caused a big
abscess
that would not go away, even after 3 lots of root canal, on my lower middle molar which is directly linked to the thyroid apparently.

ABSCESS MAKE THE HEART GROW FONDER
Now I do fully understand that '
abscess
' really does make the heart grow fonder! I'm nearly back to running now. All that stands in my way is the absolutely delightful bug our son so kindly brought home from uni. Thanks, James.

Has anyone had an infection due to endometriosis?
I woke up from surgery to find out that I had a tubo-ovarian
abscess
(TOA)! She said it was about 10cm! Pathology then came back noting that the bacteria which caused it was group b strep!! The bacteria that flows all throughout our GI system.

Corns on fingers
It then became apparent that there was an
abscess
building underneath, which has now been lanced and dressed by a nurse and I'm on flucloxacillin (again) as there was a wider infection starting. Does anyone else get bad corns on their fingers?

Flying after suffering a brain abscess
I suffered a left temporal brain
abscess
about 18 months ago. I've had set backs with my recovering but now feel fit enough to go on holiday. We've booked and will be going in a few days but it's a 5 hour flight and I'm worried about how it might effect me. Has anyone got any advise for me?

Bowel Cancer diagnosed today
I have suffered from Crohn's disease for thirty years - had an MRI a month ago and it was thought I had a large
abscess
- however, no pain and normal blood led to biopsies and today I have found out I have a 5cm adenocarcinoma in the bowel.

Concerned - bleeding after sex/masturbation & other symptoms
I was worried about there being an

It started swelling about two months ago when I had an
abscess
in my gums and I took antibiotics and it went down. Well now it's twice the size and causes pain in my back, shoulder, arm pit and occasionally the front of my neck. It gets stiff occasionally too.

I have had one sore gum in same place for ten days or more now, dentist can't see an

Any advice greatly appreciated.
Then I got laryngitis followed by a very painful infected tooth
abscess
and my methotrexate was stopped. I was off the steroids at this point so was taking nothing but hydroxy. 3 courses of antibiotics later and the tooth still just would not heal.

Unauthorised procedure question
The reversal went well without complications, but within a week of being discharged I was back in hospital as the 'flap' had formed an
abscess
and become infected. This required a clean out and I was discharged with a negative pressure wound therapy unit (VAC pump).
