Hi, I was diagnosed with pelvic inflammation and tubo ovarian abscess to my right side after a hospital admission last year with acute pelvic pain. It had rummbled for five months prior in flares that to be honest I thought was terrible trapped wind. I was treated with iv antibiotics and since have had monthlyish flares of symptoms. My first consultant wanted to observe and discouraged surgery due to the risks. I’ve now been refered to another consultant who tells me laparoscopy is my best option, I can choose if I want it to be diagnostic or if both tubes are unsalvageable for them to be removed or treated to try make them more functional. I really want children, I’m scared. Would love to talk to anyone with experience or knowledge. Any advice? I have some new pain in my left side now do I go back and tell them?
