Please help! I had a total hysterectomy, ovaries cervix womb tubes everything is gone 2 weeks ago, I had a vaginal cuff stitched in , I initially spotted lightly for two days then nothing at all for around 9 days, all of a sudden I started spotting again and it's much heavier than before, I'm not sure but could be blood in my urine as it's pink and, I wiped the back and there was fresh blood there too ...then this morning I had a wee and there was a blood clot on the tissue I'm not generally in pain but when my guts are moving it's pretty intense like a contraction , like in a wave , and it really hurts ! don't feel like I have a fever I have had a funny feeling inside like something is rubbing I thought maybe the cuff stiches! I don't understand why I've started bleeding again and the blood clot has scared the life out of me 😭

Sudden Bleeding after hysterectomy
Hi thereIt could be an infection, I had one a few weeks after my hysterectomy. Best to go get checked out x
Call your gp/ the hospital. This seems not one to guess on. I found it invaluable to speak to specialists for any wobbles in the first few weeks. I even went into a&e for some stomach pains, which turned out to be an adverse reaction to the pain killers. They were happy to advise/test/check in my experience. It's major surgery and they should be sympathetic. Good luck x x
Dear Thereshope,
Am sorry you're going through this. My advice is, call your surgeon for a quick checkup.
I had a TAH+BSO (in short everything out) like you in February 2019. The last blood I saw was only the smear on my hospital gown after I woke up from the anaesthesia. I never did then and upto now I have never experienced any bleeding like some ladies have attested to it here.
Just to clear your doubts, pls visit the doctor. Note any changes with your body from now on. Study more on hysterectomy and what next. But don't let all write up dictate your life from now on. Though it will always give you a heads up on what to expect, Not all authored material is is true with every one. We all react to different stimuli differently.
It will be ok with time.
Please love yourself selfishly and take care of yourself.
Stay safe.
Blessings
😘
