I caved in after 3 months or so when I had a mental health crisis

Since then I have been smoking and every single one makes me feel awful pain in my stomach and awful anxiety

I buy cigs smoke 2 then snap them all and Chuck in bin and then go thro bin trying to find a butt to smoke !!!

So here I am again today trying to quit so determined xxx

Seems to me Maison, your wasting a lot of money for the sake of a couple of cigarettes, I know you can do this, when you feel a craving coming on, come on Quit Support and read other members success stories, they’re words of encouragement...... new members are interacting with each other, pushing them along on their respective journeys, counting the days.

Volleyaan posts every day, counting the days, why dont you do the same, but you know that you can count on your friends in this community to support you as much as we can, but you must make the effort too.

So pick yourself up, rip up any cigarettes you may have, throw them in the bin, and empty the bin..... think positive, believe in yourself and what you are doing, and you will eventually get to see the light at the end of the tunnel! 😀😘👏👏👏🚭 Xx

Hi Maison, I wonder if you tried using some NRT to help you quit that you may find it helps rather than cold turkey. Just a thought. We’re all here to help you and although it’s not easy, this community makes a big difference.

Please have a look at the pinned posts about the different types of NRT and see what you think. Maybe the inhalator would suit as this gives the hand to mouth action and would be far better then the 2 cigs as you wouldn’t be inhaling all those chemicals. Good luck and remember we’re here for you🚭✅😘

Hi Maison,

I empathise fully.

Can I ask if you are having any support/treatment for the crisis that you went through?

This is really important in you taking control of other areas of your life.

Sadness leads me to eating and I am now trying to lose the weight that I gained again after a emotional crisis.

It took me 3 months to lose it and 6 weeks to gain it back but I have removed the crisis and can now focus again on weight loss which is much easier without the stress.

If at first you don't succeed...... good luck !!
