Golimumab

So the 3 biologics are: ADALIMUMAB, GOLIMUMAB and CERTOLIZUMAB PEGOL. These are all anti TNF drugs as was ENBREL (ETANERCEPT) which has worked well for me in the past.

After being advised of liver and lung problems attributed to long term use of methotrexate (10mg weekly subcut), it has been suggested I move from a combination of Golimumab/methotrexate to Rituximab alone.

Has anyone received these infusions? Please state both good and bad if you have.

Trying to get a measure of the stages and various meds that treat lupus, and wondering if/when anyone was moved up to biologics like Belimumab and Rituximab. I understand lupus is treated softly softly, as in mildest immune suppressants first and gradually move up the ladder, and biologics are stronger

Due to a recent surgery and a subsequent catheter-related UTI, I have not taken Golimumab for more than two months. I stopped taking MTX + folate over 3 months ago due to excessive fatigue. My segmented leukocyte ratio was just above the lower reference at 42% on this test (ref 40-70).

Hi I have lurked on this site for years but now after reoccurring pericarditis my treatment for lupus will change. I need advice and have questions I've been in Plaqunail and methotrexate for years and tapering off prendsisone at the moment. The pericarditis comes back when I taper off the steriod

I'm being treated with methotrexate (20mg pw) and golimumab. I'm also 58, so plenty of time left for tennis, etc.

I have been coughing since 20th of May in what began as a mild sore throat. I have since hard 3 courses of antibiotics and a chest X-ray revealed a bit of fluid in the lungs, which the consultants do not feel is much of an issue. the coughing is very productive in the morning and then very dry at night

I take Golimumab monthly and was until recently taking sulfasalazine. I'm now taking methotrexate. In the last 2 years I have had 3 surgeries for hernia. 1st, for a bilateral inguinal hernia, then a spegelian hernia which appeared after the 1st surgery.

I have been taking golimumab for a few weeks now and feel very concerned about it. I have some kind of lung inflammation which they are keeping an eye on. I am waiting for biopsy of skin rash photo attached and lowering steroids too. I am in agony walking .

Also and if so, did biologics help (I'm 2 months into a treatment with golimumab)? From what I've read, mostly, adhesive capsulitis gets related to things like trauma or diseases like diabetes and hyper and hypothyroidism.

I would be grateful to hear from anybody with experience in having a dental implant surgery with Lupus condition. I have to have two implants done in near future.
