Ventral mesh rectopexy advice

Hi everyone! I had a Ventral Mesh Rectopexy (keyhole) 5 weeks ago. I’m a bit better than before, when i was living a nightmare. Now still having symptoms: heaviness in rectum, incomplete defecation, gas stuck in rectum, and my perineum is lower than ever. Im resting and on Movicol. I have no pain at all. I wonder if this is all, or am I going to notice more improvement? I look at it and it looks exactly the same than before the surgery... thanks!!

Hi

Was this a last resort to have the op and whereabouts do you live? I had mine in Oxford and it was for an internal prolapse but it sounds like yours was an external one? If you can give a bit more info I may be able to help.

Hi Suzy

I have cystocele and rectocele and have a large bulge inside my vagina which is an internal prolapse of my bowel. I will eventually need surgery for my POP

Did you have the surgery with Dr Simon Jackson at oxfords John .... hospital whi is a gynaecologist but who does posterior repairs as well or a colectoral surgeon

Thanks

Was it successful
