Day 6 now. Still no side effects but smoking less, maybe 20 instead of 30. Still enjoying them !!!! Will it kick in soon that I hate them? I really want this to work and would love some advice

Hi Stacey :) i didnt start hating them as such , i kept smoking for month on them , you dont get the same satifaction as you used to , hence finding that you are smoking less without even trying to cut down , i realised that i wasnt magically going to stop , that i had to make the decision, once i did , the cravings were non existant , just had to stay focused . :) as for side effects , it could be that you might not be affected as much as others, :)

Ah thanks Babs. I have chosen day 14 as my quit day

To be honest though Babs I am thinking of taking only 1mg a day instead of two because I am fearful of side effects. I’m quite tiny at 55kilos and I don’t know if 2mg would be too much. I’ve also read some studies that said 1mg was just as effective

You are tiny :) yes ive read on this forum of people cutting to 1mg , it should be fine id say , whatever is most comfortable for you

I thought they tasted disgusting while on Champix, around the 4th day. Even if the Champix doesn't have that effect on you, no worries. Just set the quit day for 1-2 weeks in. Basically, it's on us to make that quit happen, with or without the Champix. You can do it!

Hi Stacey you are doing great and also not having side effects it’s such good sign that means this is for you !

This is your time to quit forever ! yes!!

We are all different but It took me almost 4 weeks to fully quit ..you will get there Stacey From 15 a day ,I approximately did cut down to about 5 a week .by the third weeks Cigarrets starting tasting like a gasoline burning kind of taste no more the tobacco taste ..Another thing that really impressed me about Chantix was the ability to make me forget about smoking ..

Of course you also have to work a little everyday ...

Chantix is not a magic pill but it’s good to calm the urge to smoke and that’s great .

Once your body is cleaned of nicotine about 3 to 5 days things start getting much easier ..and all you have to do is work on the behavioral part not the physical ..you will do great 👍
