This happened to me this evening for the first time. Quite freaked me out when I googled it and it said it could be a symptom of a TIA. Spoke to doc who didn't seem too worried. Seeing them tomorrow.
I have been overdoing it spectacularly recently. I am now down with some form of diarrhoea bug.
Getting a bit fed up of always feeling like excrement.

Hi Masaka, Just a thought. My wife suffers from a stinging tongue as part of her Histamine Intolerance, which also causes stomach upsets. Histamine is released in the gut as part of the digestion process, but after taking anti-virus meds a while ago she now cannot tolerate many foods, especially processed foods or ageing foods. She cannot eat beef for instance because it is aged before being sold. Tomatoes are out, citrus foods are out etc etc, though she has found most veg, carrots, onions, garlic, beetroot and several more are tolerated so she can still get her vitamins through smoothies and cooking. To eat something different (restaurant food etc) she buys a supplement called Daosin which provides what she needs to avoid her tongue-tingle and stomach upset. May be worth researching for you?
Sorry I didn’t come back on this. The GP reckoned it was my taste buds kicking off because I was dehydrated.
I am going to try to get a bit of CBT. My worrying about conking out is getting a bit daft. I think it is anxiety related. Needs sorting. The trouble is with Fibro and Rheumatoid I feel constantly ill. It gets wearing.
