Hope you’re all finding hope on your journeys. I’ve tested negative this morning. I had a euploid transferred on a FET. I’ve had ERA, used antibiotics, steroids, Clexane blood thinners, I also did a progesterone test on transfer which revealed 39 result (target was 50) so I doubled my progesterone to 6 x cylogest and 2 x Lubion. I’m 38 and this was my third failed transfer. The first we’re both fresh transfers and we didn’t PGT test them.
I’m looking for any advice on any other tests that may reveal any other reasons for implantation failure.
We are sending off 5 blasts for PGT with the results hopefully in the next couple of months. I dread the thought of doing more transfers if there is something else wrong with me that will prevent a euploid implanting.
If anyone can share any suggestions I’d be grateful.

I am so sorry 😢 this journey is so difficult. I would definately do the pgt testing we had 3 great quality 5aa embryos from a young donor … all abnormal. Have you also tried the Emma and Alice test to look for bacteria and infection in the womb xxx
really appreciate you responding. Yes I agree we will definitely do the PGT test. We sent 8 embryos off last time and one came back euploid (which I just transferred and it’s failed) and one low mosaic. We are waiting to hear from our consultant if the low mosaic is viable for a transfer (even if low probability) or it’s a no go.
We didn’t do the EMMA of ALICE or NK Cells as we just took the meds instead. I took antibiotics to combat any infections and steroids and blood thinners in case of any elevated killer cells.
Perhaps we just ended up unlucky. Keen to rule out any other reason which we could either detect through more tests or other meds.
hiya I also had a hysterocopy to check tubes and the womb. Not sure if this would help.
I was put on steroids just incase but was also told that if we did have it we would be put on a much higher dose. same with the antibiotics it would be specific to match the infection then probiotics for a while after to balance it out.
This journey is honestly a mine field. Vitamin d levels and thyroid are also hugely important. I hope your ok xxc
Low level mosaics are good to transfer. They have lower chance of working out vs euploid (live birth 40% vs 60%), but if they implant unlikely to m/c or have a chromosome issue. I'm on 2nd pregnancy with low level mosaic.
(BTW you are in a tough spot as presumably you started the journey not thinking that there were any known issues? Troubleshooting implantation failure in these circumstances is sooooo hard. It's "donor" sperm - if so have you investigated that? Embryos can look great but there are "genes" (as opposed to chromosomes) that aren't great. There was a post yrs ago from someone who could only get XY Euploids to stick XX Euploids never did 😞. Conclusion (as I recall) from REs was genes to blame.)
thanks for replying. It’s so interesting that you’re pregnant with a low mosaic. Congratulations btw. I’m assuming because our donor sperm has had a successful pregnancy that there’s comfort in that. However it’s interesting what you say about XX v XY euploids sticking!
Genes are funny things - both sides matter and together OE + DS could be an issue...just something you may want to consider. There have also been some recent posts (I think on this forum) about BRCA 1 causing implantation issues. Could be worth a look.
I am sorry that the transfer did not work for you this time. My first cycle results were similar to yours. I was 39 at the time. 6 blastocysts and only 1 of them euploid. We wanted to make sure that we checked absolutely everything to give it the best chance of implantating. We did ERA, which revealed that I needed extra day of progesterone. This delayed the transfer by 6 months (waiting for the results and Covid) but unfortunately the transfer did not work. Similar thing happened in our second cycle. 3 embryos and 1 low level mosaic. Again we went to do Alice and Emma which came back normal and 10 months later the mosaic embryo did not stick. Then the next cycle we had no euploid or mosaic embryos. In hindsight what I would do now.. I would probably try to do 3-4 cycles in a row and try to bank euploid or mosaic embryos first. As with all the tests and waiting for the results this got delayed by over a year and the quality of eggs must have deteriorated. Of course this is subject of having financial resources to do those multiple cycles. Everyone is individual but this is my experience. Best of luck!
thank you for sharing your story. I’m so sorry that you’ve had all these hurdles to overcome. I completely agree with you about time and focusing on collections. It takes so long to go through collections, transfers and tests. I’ve been through 3x embryo banking recently. Due to low AMH (6.1) I only managed 3 blasts and only 2 suited to PGS. These are being sent off in a couple of weeks. Depending on results I may do another 3 banks back to back. At 38 I’m thinking I’ve got only 2 years of collecting left.
Fortunately my wife this year also agreed to have her eggs retrieved. She is 40 but much better AMH. We sent off 7 blasts for PGS and only one came back low mosaic. The rest were abnormal. We were devastated. She’s just done another collection and we have three top quality blasts for PGT. I am desperate for her and us to get a euploid.
I had a blast from my second cycle which we sent off with her seven blasts and my one and only one came back euploid but my OTD yesterday confirmed it didn’t implant.
In one way we are lucky that we have four ovaries to get eggs from and can overlap our collections and treatments but of course it’s our only option for pregnancy so it’s hard sometimes because the “will this ever work” feelings and thoughts come in.
Our embryologist said to us yesterday that we just have to keep rolling the dice and I think she’s right. keep making blasts, keep transferring and one day our dream will come true.
