My clinic said there aim was 18 months, and 18 months, 7 transfers, and 10 embryos later here I am! Measuring 7+2 with a very strong heartbeat 💖
For everyone still chasing their dream, please don’t give up. I was starting to think it would never happen for me, but finally it has. Still doesn’t feel real even after seeing that tiny little heartbeat! 💖

How did you get going for 7 transfers? I just found out my 4th failed and no idea how to keep going!
I’m not sure I have any pearls of wisdom, but my clinic said it’s a numbers game and I put all of my faith in them. What kept me going was having the plan in place for the next transfer. Please don’t give up, it WILL be your turn 🍀

I can totally empathise with this. 3 IVF pregnancies taken to term and I still spent the first 16 or so weeks terrified. It gets easier once you can feel movements and you get to viability but there were always moments of pure joy in those first few weeks after scans and appointments and knowing everything was ok even if I did start to let those doubts creep in hours later. It’s part of the journey. I’m so excited for you 🤗
So hard to let the excitement in when you know how easily it can be taken away isn’t it. People who have an easy ride into pregnancy and birth are so lucky! But I’m so lucky to be now on the right path. I’m determined to try and enjoy every step x
It really is & when you’ve lost a pregnancy it takes those stresses to a whole new level. I almost wished the first 12 weeks away every time but it goes so fast. I was still in theatre after having my last wishing by some miracle I’d get to do it again. It’s such a wonderful experience 😍
I’m determined once I’m at 12 weeks and scan is ok I’m letting go of the worry and stress and jumping straight into excitement and worry about coping!! X

congratulations. I think you were in a similar position to me with age and donor egg (and sperm?), plus long time trying. It is possible and for me, after 5 years, two miscarriages and a chemical and numerous negatives, I was at the giving up it will never happen stage too! Now have a 7 week old son. Wishing you all the best for the upcoming months. I found it tough, doing it on my own and it still is, but so very worth it!

Certainly was breathtaking! Had to remember to breathe. The wait to hear “there’s a heartbeat” was just agonising after previously hearing “I’m sorry there’s no heartbeat” 😓 x

Nope. Unexplained RIF. I did spend 7 years with an ex who had exceptionally low sperm count - which we didn’t know as he refused to get tested. But due to my age I had a very low chance of conceiving naturally even though my recent ex had no issues. All tests at my clinic showed no issues x
Thanks for sharing and sorry for being ultra nosey! I have lots going on medically and not sure whether to get sperm dna fragmentation test on my partner. Unexplained difficulties sounds like it can be harder to deal with. Well done for keeping going as you have and there's no one more deserving for some joy. How you did all that in such a short amount of time. I've done 3rd transfer a couple months ago and so not ready for more injections x

In some ways unexplained there’s nothing to try and fix so what do you do?! Maybe if I was younger and with a partner with no issues I wouldn’t have had an issue? Who knows! But I am where I am. And finally it’s where I want to be! 💖
The past 18 months have both dragged and flown by. Can’t say I want to repeat it though. It’s been tough with done proper dark moments but now I have to focus on what’s coming next! 💖💖
Last night I did put off my injection for a few mins I must admit. Starting to feel like I’ve got elephant skin now! I’ve got my stopping meds plan now so Bern counting out the rest! X

Thankyou. Right back at ya!! 💖 How far are you? I’m 7+3 today. Surprised your clinic don’t do a scan at 6/7 weeks. Mine wanted one at 6 but I waited till 7 to be sure I would be able to see a heartbeat. My clinic is in Spain so I paid for a private scan.
I’ve had the odd twinges and cramps which makes me paranoid but apparently are normal. No sickness yet, I actually am always hungry! Knackered by the end of the day. Boobs are killing me!! X
Thank you! I should be around 6-6.5 weeks. My clinic is NHS so I guess they want to make sure as they can’t afford having people several times, but maybe I’ll do a private scan. How did you manage to wait an extra week if your clinic wanted an earlier scan?
My symptoms are very similar, occasional twinges and cramps, that freak me out. I also have some other symptoms which come and go, very worrying, some boobs aches, light nausea, being thirsty.
Clinic just said please get a scan and gave me a date so I just worked out when I’d be 7 weeks and booked it then. I didn’t want to have to go back. If I was in Spain the scan would be free so if couldn’t see heartbeat they would just say to come back a week later.
I’m thirsty all the time too! I think it’s all just baby grabbing what it needs and your body stretching. X
Good for you for waiting! This period is the toughest I find.
One day I wake up I feel I’m not pregnant anymore as my symptoms are gone, next they are back. Huge fluctuation, can’t really relax x
Totally understand that! That’s exactly how I felt too. I’m still a bit on edge but seeing that heartbeat has helped a lot. Won’t be long for you now 💖

Im 26 weeks & only just showing 🥰 I have a long torso and baby just moved up lengthways 🤣 spent a fortune on maternity wear too but only just moved out of my regular jeans (albeit Iwas filling them more!)
I’m just not 5ft2 and already have a belly I have been hiding which is probably bloating but it does look quite rounded!
