Endometrial Lining Thickness - Any advice

Hey, any help or advice appreciated... Just had first round of egg collection which led to 4 good quality embryos, however my endometrial lining was very thin, as low as 3mm on day of egg collection. I now need to wait to my next cycle to start meds and try and thicken my lining for frozen transfer.

I am taking high dose of vitamin E and eating lots of pomegranates as well as folic acid, cq10, vit D, maca root, myoinositol, omega 3 supps. Walking every day on treadmill. Am i missing anything significant? really appreciate anyone sharing their own expereince of being able to increase lining thickness. x

Hi. I would say you are doing most of the things. My clinic gives Viagra (Sildanefil) for the same purpose. You can talk to your clinic about it.

I would suggest acupuncture as well. I tried electro-acupuncture too.

My lining was 8, not sure which one did the trick.

Good luck!

Thank you! Booked acupuncture so hopefully this will help too. Will ask about Sildanefil👍🏽

Well done on all you’re trying so far. I’m not sure about myoinositol and lining but you probably know more. I took L-arginine and vitamin E for lining. Second the sildenafil and acupuncture comment. Got my lining from 3mm to 8mm with using 25mg viagra tablets as vaginal pessaries. Also pre transfer have a regular orgasm daily and use heat packs on your lower belly all helps blood flow too.

Hi there.

I also had very thin lining but still managed to conceive twice - one pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage and the other in my 7 month old son.

I tried lots of things including what you’ve mentioned and also acupuncture and viagra (sildenafil pessaries). Didn’t really work for me but there is one small study on viagra also known as sildenafil helping.

I managed to find two labs one in Northumberland and one in Cardiff who make vaginal sildenafil. I used the lab/pharmacy in Northumberland. You will need a private prescription from your fertility doctor to obtain these. The Northumberland clinic’s details are:

PCCA Ltd t\a Customised 4U PharmacyUnit 2 Regents Drive | Low Prudhoe Ind Est | Northumberland | NE42 6PX

Phone: 0800 035 3078| fax: 0800 035 3079

pccarx.co.uk

I can’t find the details for the Cardiff lab.

Best of luck x

Congrats on embryos

What does myo inositol do for lining, did dr tell you to take it?

I took it for egg collection it helps with quality of eggs however reduces the number of antral follicles for those cycles you take months before.

For lining, Try castor oil pack on your abdomen all cycle except on periods. saw some positive feedback on getting lining thick with pack and massages in as little as 10 days. But it’s better results if you start doing it asap. Jusf pls read abt it to see if you don’t have any contradictions.

It helps with blood flow and circulation. I tried for my egg retrievals and it helped retrieved quality eggs and blasts.

Do it everyday for 45 min to 1 hr before transfer. Start with half an hour first few days until your body adjust. Don’t do it after transfer.

There are lots of videos on youtube if you are not familiar with it.

Good luck 🤞

How was the accupunture?

To be honest I had 10 sessions and my lining didn’t change at all but everyone might have different reactions.

My RE also told ne not to waste money on accupunture. She even said there is new evidence it might work opposites but I couldn’t find the article she referred to. But I saw someone said the same thing in this forum. I don’t remember which post it was to ask abt the link.

The acupuncture was good felt relaxed afterwards and hopefully its helped with blood flow etc. Still a few weeks to go before my next cycle and hopefully get the green light to try a transfer. Just a waiting game all the time. Patience definitely a skill you need to master through this process 😔
