irregular bleeding post laparoscopy

Hi everyone. Just wondering what everyone’s periods/bleeding after op was like? I’m just over 6 weeks post op after endo removal on both ovaries & left pod. Surgeon said it was stage 2 endo. Everything else was fine. Tubes good, etc. I have had irregular bleeding for the last 2 weeks & awful cramps. It’s stressing me out. Is this kind of bleeding normal? I’m bleeding for 5 days, then stop for 3, then bleeding again. It’s not heavy, but awful lower cramps & back pains. Doctor not overly concerned. Told me to come off the pill & see what happens! Is it normal to have bleeding like this after op? Thanks in advance. Would like to know others experiences. Feeling anxious & stressed out by it. Periods are normally regular x

Hi, I had my op almost 5 weeks ago. Had the coil inserted at the same time. Post op i bled for 2 weeks (not very heavily) then this reduced to spotting - seemed linked to my activity levels ie. would spot if been more active. My Gynae wasnt concerned by this. The pain was awful the 1st week after surgery then started to reduce. Just had my first period since op and finishing it now, I bled for much longer than usual but the pain was better than pre-op x

Thanks so much. Hope you keep improving. My body feels all over the place at the moment & I hope the bleeding stops soon 🤞🏼

It's horrible and scary isn't it. Hope it starts to settle soon for you but if your still worried then I'd get back in touch with gynae/ surgeon if possible. I was able to call the hospital and ask for the surgeons secretary who took down my queries and liaised with surgeon then called me back x

See they don’t seem to offer this sort of thing for me it’s so rubbish. I have a scan booked in tho x

They didn't offer that to me either sadly. I just thought I'd try and contact them as I was worried. I didn't have a direct number so just called the main hospital number and asked to be put through to that surgeon/ or secretary x

Ah ok I will see if I can do that. Thanks so much! They gave me v little info about periods/bleeding etc & it’s just draining x
