Its literally midnight and I'm literally dying from pain 😭. I've been bleeding more and more everyday.. started with urine then spotting and now literal blood, but some of it pretty dark like black coloured.
I cant tell if this is normal or if this is meant to be my period 😔?? I usually have really painful periods however, I am so confused right now as I cant tell if this pre op pain or what.
I had my lap done on Monday and no endo was found only a hernia.
Someone please give me some advise as I am beginning to lose it ☹.

Ive started bleeding more today. Had only slight spotting since Mondays Lap. The bleeding today has been a bit black with clotting! (Sorry tmi).
Im also still in agony!! Ive spent most of the day in bed, if I get up im dizzy, I feel terrible, fevish & just generally weak & unwell. If im not better Monday im ringing the gynae ward.
I woke up feeling ok then as soon as i start pottering about it starts again! My partner keeps saying “dont do anything just rest then it wont hurt” , how long can this go on for though? Surely I should be able to start being on my feet by now.
I literally woke up okay too, then started getting the most painful pains again and noticed bleeding. Could this be my period I am not sure ☹? I fully understand how difficult it must be to go through these pains.. will defo contact someone soon. Try to take it easy and hope your symptoms get better.
It is not unusual to have vaginal bleeding after laparoscopic surgery. I was warned about this. This can occur due to your uterus being examined during the procedure. Also have you had a coil inserted at all? If so this could also explain vaginal bleeding.
It's important that you clarify what the source of the bleeding is I.e check is it vaginal or from another source.
If you're not sure or if you think it's slightly excessive call the hospital and ask to speak to a nurse or doctor. Were you given contact details for the gynaecologist post op ? If not call the ward via switch board.
If the bleeding is excessive or, if you are in any way concerned, just go to AE at the hospital where you had your procedure so that they can access your theatre notes. This is important.
Obviously if it's an emergency just go immediately to your nearest hospital which offers a gynaecology service, even if that's different from where you had your surgery.
Hope that helps. Check out endometriosis UK website they've got an online leaflet on laparoscopic surgery and it mentions vaginal bleeding post op.
No endo was found during my lap only a hernia and they didnt put in a mirena coil either ☹. Im having so much pains and bleeding I am not sure what the best option would be right now.. the gynae literally had me feeling crazy tbh after they didnt see any endo and now I am not sure what to do... seriously feel like I have been left in the dark as I am unaware on what to do 😭, but thank you for all that info I will be sure to check it out
Hi zuzu7 sorry late reply. I wasn't well. I just picked up the thread now. How are you feeling today? You need to go to AE of this is persistent. Best to go back to where you had your surgery as they can then cross reference the notes. I'm presuming the bleeding is vaginal?Just wondering if you were advised of whether your uterus was examined internally while you were under general anaesthesia? I know mine was examined with a long probe device Schroeder tenaculum. It's possible something similar was used. This can trigger vaginal bleeding. I hope you are seeking advice from your doctor or specialist. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
I had same thing after and they found no endo with my lap. I bled about a week and then went into period which weirdly enough was a good period usually im in agony laying on floor of bathroom crying and my husband running about trying to get all my tablets in me so i can get to work and function.
I did get told i clotted easily so was put on transexmic acid which has helped.
Anyway bleeding after is normal.. it has been in your body prodding about looking and it is quite invasive.
