Hi everyone, it’s been two months since my lap and remove of stage 4 endo. Wondering what symptoms you had around this time in recovery?
The first period was AWFUL, then I had some light bleeding a week ago feeling very swollen inside when using tampons - didn’t feel quite normal. Not bleeding now but really uncomfortable hard bloated belly - like I had before surgery like ‘endo belly’ really. Having bowel symptoms of constipation etc but managing to go and still super bloated it’s so uncomfortable
Any other bloated tums out there?

Sorry to hear that you're still bloated and in pain. I had a laparoscopy and excision for endometriosis stage 2, 6 weeks ago and I'm still bloated and in low level pain with constipation sometimes.
I think it's just part of recovery, hang in there, it should get better! Xx
Thanks for your response! Yes I think my expectations have been much higher than they should be underestimating recovery haha. It feels like a bad endo belly and I guess that worries me so it’s good to know I’m not the only one xx
I know the feeling! Defo scary when you think it feels like endo pain again! And yes, recovery seems much slower than I expected too! It's good to know there are lots of us out there, together in this!!
So sorry for what you’re going through, hope you’ll get better very very soon throughout your post lap recovery. Just in case, have you been tested for SIBO? This might be causing bloating on top of endometriosis, especially if you have bowel problems too (that’s happening in my case, at least highly likely as I tested positive for SIBO, wasn’t a straightforward investigation...).
Hi Monika-me, thank you hopefully things will continue to settle down I have never even heard of SIBO! I will have a Google - I’m learning so much about how many things are connected to endometriosis it’s really mind boggling. Iv actually had quite a few ongoing symptoms for years for various things - particularly bad bowels and now I’m thinking perhaps endo is the cause of it all!? Thanks for the info
