Is anyone just continuously bleeding? Every day?

I had surgery August for DIE. Pelvic walls and ligaments. Treatment to the cervix for a cervical ectropion and biopsy to check uterus is healthy. All tests were ok, just confirmed endo.

Since surgery I’ve had continuous bleeding. Pre op, they said it was likely due to the cervix, however, it’s continued since treatment. My consultant (specialist BSGE centre) has told me to stop the pill, to see if it’s causing it. This was mid December. Since I’ve had 2 horrendous periods (in under four weeks) and the continuous spotting has continued. Some days heavier than others. Before stopping the pill it was red/brown blood. After stopping the pill, it’s pink red. Don’t know if there’s any relevance.

Absolutely just don’t know what’s going on. I have a follow up with the endo nurse in a couple of weeks, does anyone know what next steps would be?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Just to add, I also have suspected adenomyosis based on scans.

It sounds like it could be the pill. I'd follow your doctor's advice and wait and see. We do usually have heavy periods going on and off hormones x

Thanks for your response. It’s not a period. It’s just constant daily bleeding. Seems odd it’s happened whilst on pill and and off. I’ve now not been taking the pill for five weeks. The endo nurse said to leave it another three weeks as then it’ll have been eight since the pill and if it’s not regulated/stopped by then they’ll do more investigation.

Are you on any other meds?

I was previously taking cocodamol. I’ve stopped since I was worried amount how often/how long I was on them. They’ve now given me pregabalin. Which is helping lower back pain which hadn’t eased after surgery. Interestingly, taking the pill the gnawing pain in my pelvis/down the legs stopped. It’s back now I’ve stopped the pill 🙈 feels like I can’t win 🙈. I’m writing everything down and keeping a daily record, it could just be the hormones balancing out. Fingers crossed it’ll disappear over the next few weeks.
