does anyone else get this? I had to have an emergency appointment today as I went to the toilet and when I opened my bowels and looked in the toilet, the water and bowl were full of blood!
I had confirmed stage 2 endo on my bladder and ovary, I’ve also had mumtiple colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, endoscopies, as well as chrons/colotis/coeliac tests and everything comes back as clear negative!
I used to have blood on the toilet paper commonly before my surgery and it seemed to be improving post surgery (7 weeks post op) but then today I had cramping when I went and then the bleeding. I wonder if I have endo inside my bowel and it was missed on previous checks in there?
it was unexpected and a bit freaky - the doc is just as confused as me. Has anyone else experienced this?

I used to bleed from the rectum at the beginning of a period and from suffering haemorrhoids. Drs treated the haemorrhoids but I don’t think they do anymore, I was told I was mistaken re bleeding during period, it was never looked into but stage 4 endo found during op years later. My bleeding was before period started by a day or so.
Hey Nikogirl18, rectal bleeding is a potential symptom of endometriosis. I have experienced it several times in the past, never whilst on my period / having a bleed. Like you, it was accompanied with severe cramping. It would happen 1-2 times at a time and then settle.
One gynaecologist told me it couldn't be related to my endometriosis, because it was happening when I wasn't on my period. However, a more senior, experienced, endometriosis specialist confirmed that it can in fact be related to my endometriosis and that it most likely is.
I had the colonoscopy, colitis, etc tests and scans too and same as you - all negative!
I'm aware from the only laparoscopy I had back in 2016 that I have endometriosis on my bladder, bowel and rectum. I've experienced other symptoms related to painful bowel movements in general with my endometriosis, so I didn't have a doubt in my mind that my bleeding during bowel movements was related.
It may well be a one-off for you. If it reoccurs, I suggest noting down the instances - when they happen, what you've eaten and any accompanying symptoms.
