Hi

Has anyone else experienced this: I had my lap 11 days ago and had a small amount of endo and some adhesions treated. I have been recovering really well, once the gas pain went I've been feeling good, went back to work for a few hours 6 days post op and been active but not overdoing it. But starting yesterday (10 days post lap) the pain and discomfort in my abdomen and back has been awful. Bad again today and painful when going to the toilet. Also still pretty swollen but I didn't have any pain until it started yesterday. Has anyone else had this or got any tips? Thanks xx

Sounds to me you went back to work too soon. I’m 5 day’s post lap and I’m still in bed! I feel sleepy and I have pain. Endo was found and treated and my stomach has bruising. Take it easy! X

Hi. I had a lap 2 & a half years ago. I had 2 weeks rest basically before I felt I could move without too much pain. Take it easy for a few more days &a when you do return, try not to overdo it. Hope you feel better soon. Xx

I know they don't tell you anything - had little to no idea what to expect - this site is a godsend! Mine wasn't looking great so they swabbed it at the doctors and will find out friday if its showing anything. There really should be better aftercare - hope you get on ok and are back home resting up soon xx

Hi, Im 7 days post lab and had to go to the docs today to have my fit note for work extended by another week and shes given me codeine & laxatives to help with the pain. I get worse pain after eating & going to the loo (have deep endo of bowel) and am spending most of the day lying down and getting up every two hours to move around. Try and take it easy x

You've over done it i think. You need to rest and heal. Take another week off work and put your feet up. I started bleeding and had pain just reaching up to straighten my curtain
