Chuffed as today I’ve finally completed the C25K programme! Most of it I’ve done on my walking pad, having a top speed of just 6km/hr but today I decided to mark the occasion by driving 10 mins away to a very scenic lakeside path as a treat! 😀.
I started this programme on 31st Jan. I repeated a few weeks, to be safe, after being a bit too busy to run for a little while, and I don’t generally do 3 runs per week, more like 1-2 what with spin bike and karate to fit around, but it doesn’t matter…. I got there in the end!!
I’d never have thought I could jog 30 mins let alone a few but I’ve really enjoyed the programme, its so achievable - It’s fantastic! I’ve had Laura coach me throughout and she has given me that belief. I’m a slow jogger but I feel like I could just keep going on and on now (and I could probably pick up the pace a tad too); but first I’ll do the consolidation runs, etc, and gradually extend the distance. I now hope to do the local parkrun in a few months, all being well - I’m definitely bitten by the bug now!
This forum really has been fantastic to follow though; wow, it really brings another dimension for inspiration and motivation! Thank you for all your contributions; they certainly helped me throughout the programme and to cross the finish line!
