Week 8 run 2 done

What a lovely day to run! 13 degrees, sunny with a nice breeze. Perfect!

The run itself went fine. I decided instead of turning at the halfway mark I’d just continue along the route I walked on Saturday n see where I ended up. Surprisingly I got to the bridge over the river but decided as I was almost done to run on rather than cross it

The actual run bit was 1.31 miles today, a definite improvement from Friday’s 1.2 miles, probably cos I stayed on the flat rather than having to run back up the slope near the end lol

I think the only downside was the clumps of little mini dragonfly type flies I kept encountering. I don’t mind them but would prefer it if they’d just keep outta my face! 😂😂

You could wear some kind of eye protection to keep those tiny dragontype flies out of your eyes, when I got glasses it made such a difference when I was out cycling, same with running, well done to you SeeJillRun on completing run 2 of week 8, not long now until you graduate.

Thanks but it’s not my eyes I’m worried about, I already wear glasses. I’m more bothered that I might inhale or swallow one of them. Yuck! 🤢😷🤐

Ha! Yes they are annoying. I’ve just bought myself a visor and might have to put some corks on it Australian style to keep them away. Well done on your run today sounds like you’re exploring new areas which is great .

Haha! That’s definitely an idea though I think they might hit you in the face as you run 😂

Yes it’s refreshing to run new ground, a change of scenery is definitely welcome 😊
