So as you can see from my previous post I couldn't make up my mind whether to run tonight or not but you know what.... the urge got the better of me and I just got back home.
Oh that 28 minutes was long but I actually loved it. Night time run again in my bright colours, didn't plan a route, just ran along the local streets that I've known for years and years. Covered just over 2.63 miles. So not the greatest distance but I'm getting there.
Well done you are braver than me! Don’t like running late or in the dark. 👍
I didn't think I would enjoy running at night either but tonight was my 2nd time and I actually enjoy it. I mostly run along a semi main road but I do take some back roads too. I guess being familiar with those roads make it alittle easier. I do prefer running on grass though. But at least I know now that when I can't get out during the day over the playing field, i can always go in the evening on the road.
I worry that I may trip. I have managed to get to my age without breaking anything - don’t want to now!! I have been out and run up and down the high street which is brightly lit. 🏃♀️but not late. Anyway your doing well and very motivated - well done - nearly there now 😀
One of my runs during the week is always in the dark to fit in round work etc! I stick to the well lit streets where I live and I actually quite enjoy it! Sometimes it’s very early morning if I can’t sleep! The other days are through woods and quiet lanes and coastal path! At least it’s varied!!
Great job! Again all my admiration for running at night. I was supposed to go myself after work for my first postgrad run but didn't make it: too hungry and also I live in a quite big city, so not motivated to run to the park and get Friday's car pollution (weekends commuters). I'm sure you'll find the next 28 mns less long than the first time Keep on enjoying it!
I am starting on week 8 run 1 on Tuesday. I normally do 2 runs/ week in the dark too. Not ideal but ok for me too, as I don’t seem to manage very early runs. So only run in park weekends.
