Hot day today. Mark it in your diary folks...a bank holiday without rain. So I got up really early to get my final week 4 run done before the heat of the day. Bleary eyed, I turned off my 10am alarm (that is early for a bank holiday right?), donned my shorts, running bra and calf stockings. And headed to the park, alas 40 minutes later as 3 kids and the dog had decided to join but couldn't find their shoes! So, at least 11 isn't the heat of the midday sun, so my early start had paid off.
The kids went straight to the playground leaving me to run and mind our dog who has an ASBO with other dogs. Great.
Anyway, run done. At the most painful point all you lot on the forum I could hear urging me on in my ear, and a couple of minutes after finishing the back end of my ass caught up, which was a PB.
Cryotherapy in the paddling pool now, where I shall not celebrate completing W4 but instead fret that I now need to face WEEK 5 😱😱😱😱
Good luck all and thanks for your support out there today.

Brilliant and well done, I'm exhausted listening to your run, 3 kids and the dog! Enjoy the hydrotherapy pool in the background lol
Your post did make me laugh! Your dog with an asbo! Sounds like my friend's dog - not a border collie by any chance? I finished that run yesterday- found it quite tough but like you I heard all the forum people cheering me on & got through it. Onward & upward to W5. We can do this. We got this. Good luck.
Ha ha! They are so territorial & protective. My sister in law has always had them - she's a lovely dog (the border collie - not my sister in law!) but I don't like taking her out on my own.
Well done! With all that going on too. Nice one! W5. Such a sense of achievement. It really gives you an extra boost for the second half of the plan. Just keep doing what you’re doing and if anything, slow it down a bit. You’ve got this!
