I remember long ago, when shopping for new trainers was not the hard work that it is now that I have long term ‘niggles’. It *might* take a couple of tries, but on the whole of if I’d tried multiple pairs on in the shop? Then the pair I ultimately chose would be the correct ones and - after a few days wearing them round the house and garden* - I could go for a short run and everything would be fine, then I’d work up from there.
*I have never been the sort of person who could just buy any sort of shoes then go out in them and not suffer the consequences.
Alas - these days - the running shop people are really earning their money when they have to serve me. I have a couple of places that I use regularly, and the people that work in them are always very knowledgeable about their stock, kind and patient.
So, fingers crossed, these will be fine, as I had to exchange the Karhu’s that I bought last week as they were making my toes numb after 15-20 minutes of walking round the house (even after I tried my two favourite lacing techniques).
My one reservation is that they are shockingly PINK, but it’s not like I’m looking at my feet when I run, so I’m not going to be seeing them that often. This reservation is offset by the fact that the exchange has left me with a £20 credit on my account *and* I have googled them and they come in a really lovely looking yellow too, which is much more my style 🙂
