W4 done and I'm still standing!

β€’10 Replies

Not the most pleasant weather conditions for my final run but still enjoyed it thoroughly 😁 Managed to really push it for the final 2 minutes to get a little in the bank for week 5 and surprisingly I felt fine. My Fitbit scared me a little though because it started vibrating when I pushed it at the end and I thought maybe it was telling me my heart rate was getting too high....turns out I'd just reached my daily step target πŸ˜‚ Now for study πŸ˜–

Well done!! You are doing brilliantly. Oh and well done for reaching the step target! Pushing it in the last bit of a run is pretty great actually. You'll be a graduate before you know it!

Thank you! I rarely reach it which is why it was probably a shock! I'm glad you agree, I was worried lots of people would tell me to be careful.

Incidentally, I've turned down my step target on the app I use. I'm never going to manage 10,000 steps per day. That's about 5 miles apparently, and life is too busy, so I've halfed mine, which I'm now regularly exceeding. It just gives some positive motivation rather than negative. I think it's actually more about the amount of time than the step count.

However, if you've found something that works for you, that sounds good to me!

Sounds as though it's going great well done.

Had to laugh about the fitbit vibrating I do a silly little dance/arm wave when mine does, folk think I'm a bit crazy lol

Thanks Tony! Sorry to hear you're suffering with your back. I really hope it gets better soon and you can get back to running.

Well done Minnow! I'm on Wk4R2 today, I've lagged behind you a little now due to a 5 day break and feeling dodgy with a virus, but I am still loving pushing myself! Good luck with Wk5! It's stepping up a fair notch by the looks of it, EEEEK!

X

Thanks Snodi! Hope you’re feeling better now. It sure is, I try not to look at what’s in store for the next week until I do it otherwise I might cry πŸ˜‚ x

I always look, then regret it for a while, then remind myself how much I've improved so far, then worry, then give myself a talking to, and then still feel slightly nervous each new step! πŸ˜‚
