How have I done that!

Having been very sporty through to my early 30's, I ballooned up to 17st. I'm now 49. I start week 9 tomorrow. It's been a massive struggle. I get up at 5:30 3 times a week and run before work. I hate getting out of bed in the mornings and I find running so boring!! I made a decision to do this, then did it without thinking too much and accepted that that this would be the norm for the next 9 weeks. I have no idea how I've got to this point but I have. If I can do this then you can too!

Thanks, Martin. Keep going. There's a big jump at the end of week 6 which you will need to get your head round, but, just keep going!!

How did you get the "graduate" banner against your name?

When I view this site on a laptop (not a tablet or phone) there's a side bar to the right and in it will be an August graduate post from JuJu - who's an administrator. If you send a reply to her and she will add it on to your profiley thing. Am rubbish at tech otherwise I could have attached her in this message, soz. Well done on getting to the end (beginning!).

Done two runs of week 9, the first I really struggled and had to slow down a few times the second I did complete the 30mins. It was slow, covered 4.5km. The last run I'm going to put some thought into and plan it out, so, hopefully getting to the promised land of 5km!!!

I completed but got no where near 5k in 30 mins. I think your 4.5k is really good. My next challenge is park run on Saturday and going to try get the distance before I get the speed. All the best and very well done to you!

Thanks for all your kind words of encouragement. Did the last run today! Got to 5k but took me 32mins. Still, really pleased!!
