W4 - Run 1 - Done

This felt hard today but not unmanageable. I went out with the OH as he was at home today. It was nice to have someone other than the dog keep me company and motivated. It was a lot hotter today, though, so I felt thirsty and it was harder to settle my breathing. Am really pleased to have done this one, as I was unsure whether I would manage the longer 5 minute stretches. My OH looked at my Nike+ results and said that my pace is good and I'm actually better on the longer stretches than the shorter sections. I'm gonna have two days rest now, so will do run 2 on Thursday I think. I usually like run 2s for some reason?

Nice running, all the best for the second outing - think I enjoyed the second runs better too, especially if the first had been successful as its one worry out of the way!

Just sitting here wondering why one of your auto generated tabs is N'ICE ...... Can see your use of the word nice, but what the heck will N'ice lead me to? Teehee

Happy running, Linda ;)

Thank you, yes if wondered that too. I thought I'd made a typo, but it looked fine when I read it back? Maybe it's something to do with the clinical excellence body, they're an NHS thing, I think? Ok, I've got no idea, I'm just speculating, lol.

Yep, when I worked in dentistry there were NHS guidelines called NICE - no apostrophe ... And nothing to do with anything on the tag site if you ever feel like going there! Confused? You will be ;)

Well done! I am doing W4 R1 tonight when my husband gets in and my toddler is in bed. I always love the second runs too!

I didn't think it was as bad as I was expecting. I'd love to go running on an evening when it's cooler. My kids are 10 and 7, I sometimes take them with me, but it can be more trouble than its worth. I don't like going on my own now the nights are drawing in. I hope your run went well x

Hello! I actually feel on top of the world after that! I can't believe I'm the same person who struggled with week two. The evening is the only time I can go but the pavement is well lit and there are always loads of other runners around. X

Well done, I felt good too, feels like a real achievement this week doesn't it? I run off road at the moment, but when I feel a bit more confident, I will run on the street. I won't mind the dark so much then.
