After IC and some bank holiday hiking, today I went running.
Last time I ran on Friday (18/08) O_O so after almost 2 week break, I went only with some music, no Laura, bo C25K podcast.
Last Thursday I got very stiff neck and today was the first day without painkillers, but still with winter scarf on my neck.
Tody was just me listening to my body. I managed to do 1.6 miles, 20 min in total, running periods: 6 + 4 + 4 minutes.
Not sure which run I should do on Friday. The last time was W7R1, but I cannot imagine running now 25 min without a break. Well... Anyway, I won't worry about it today or tomorrow. I'll wait with this decision till next run.

You are doing just fine... take it steady as ever... and start with whatever you feel is right...This is your journey... and you choose how to move back onto your path.
Enjoy your evening too and hope the neck feels easier tomorrow x
my neck is slowly getting better, so every day is an improvement.
Regarding running, I may be the slowest person on this programme, but the seed of running has very strong roots now, so I will keep doing my runs. One day I will graduate one day...
That is good... you have done brilliantly ever since you joined us You do this exactly how you wish too... you will get where you want to be... when it happens xx
I remember my beginnings, quite a long time ago, when I was so stresses that I HAVE to do it in 9 weeks. Now, it makes me laugh. I am more relaxed and I enjoy my running A LOT! Still struggle to kick myself out of the door, but probably 80% of my runs are very enjoyable (not to get confused with easy ).
You and many people on this forum was watering this seed of a runner when I was not sure if it's for me and when I hated running. Yeap, I used to hate it in the past. But now, I love it
Hi IgaT, well I wondered where you'd been after the illness. Still that's not a bad achievement after time off. Maybe try W6 R1 as that's the shorter intervals? See how you go with or without your scarf. Happy running next time out.
Thanks Jan, I may try W6R2 with longer runs. I am pretty sure my legs and lungs can do it. I'll just see how's my neck. I felt it several timea during this run, fortunately not much
