Having a moan
8 nights in hospital.Two surgeries within 2 days, a
blood
transfusion
and iron infusion, insulin drip.Back at the breast clinic yesterday to have fluid drained from my boob and underarm. Fluid building up again, spoken to the clinic I'll have to go back to have the fluid drained once more!

'Something detected' on grandads CT scan....
So they said they will have to re do the CT scan and may also need a
blood
transfusion
. Is this a common thing to happen? I thought CT scans were pretty accurate ?

Blood Transfusion day after Chemo
Hi allI've had many units of blood over the years during my chemo, but I'm having a unit of blood today and my chemo was only yesterday. I know this might sound daft but will having more blood in my system only 1 day after chemo mean that the chemo drugs will kind of be watered down!!? Never thought

Don't want to go back on the pill/more surgeries! Deep infiltrating endo on bowel and uterine polyp removed recently for heavy bleeding.
Had so much bleeding and clots for 3 weeks, needed
blood
transfusion
and iron infusion due to excessive
blood
loss and severe anaemia. Discovered and removed uterine polyp and it stopped the bleeding immediately. Polyp was the cause of the heavy bleeding for me.

Monitoring
His haemoglobin was very low and last week he had to have a
blood
transfusion
. I feel he has not been treated well but would be grateful for other's views and advice on how often most people are monitored if they continue drinking. Thank you.

Prostap injection
I've taken some time off for myself as I was admitted to hospital and had a
blood
transfusion
due to the heavy bleeding of my uterus. I feel like my body has been hit by a bus and sleep teas don't work.

Low platelets.
As a result, mum has had a
blood
transfusion
and her levels are rising, which is good. However, her platelets are low and reducing. She is on blood thinners for a clot on her lung and wondered if these could effect the platelets?

Changing from hydroxy to Analgride
Following post from 10 days ago, when I was taken off hydroxy due to anaemia, I had appt. today, & will be having another bone marrow check, & possibly
blood
transfusion
shortly. Looks as though I,ll be going onto Analgride instead. Can I ask people please how they found this changeover?

Heading down hospice road too…
He ended up in the hospital after 3 weeks on it for a
blood
clot in his leg and
blood
transfusion
so olaparib was stopped. He was so weakened after the treatment and his lymphedema in both legs worsened tremendously on the olaparib that it is difficult for him to walk.
