Hi, My wife started feeling sick couple of months after the birth of our son. GP thought it was possibly birth related. She started having pain and lost weight very quickly (10 kg in 2 months). She was asked to have h pylori stool test, which came postive. She had 1 week of Anti biotic but the pain and weight loss never went away. She was called by GP to go A&E to have blood transfusion because her haemoglobin wS very low. She was Sent for Endoscopy and CT scan and was diagnosed with stomach cancer and a clot in liver vein. Was are distraught and don't know what will happen. Can anyone advise what ro expect after MDT meeting this Friday. Thank you

Stomach cancer
Hi there. My sincere apologies for what you and your wife are going through. Such a blessing to welcome a new life into the world and then your life is turned upside down when you find out your wife has cancer. Unfortunately this board is dedicated to women with breast cancer that has spread elsewhere. I checked and there is a board that is dedicated to people with either esophageal or gastric(stomach) cancer and you will probably find more support and answers to questions you have there. Here's the link.

Please know that from the information you have supplied your wife will require surgical care to remove the cancer in her stomach and the clot in her liver vein is likely a result of the cancer itself and they will start her on blood thinners for that. As long as the other tests don't show cancer has spread elsewhere I think your wife will have a positive result at the end of all this but it will be a rocky time for the next several months. Take care.
Can you please clarify for me. Is it breast cancer that spread to her stomach or gastric cancer? They are very different. I have breast cancer that spread to my stomach. If that’s it, you are in the right group, but if not, awesome4ever is correct, the other group would be for you. I’m so sorry for what your wife and you are going through. I can talk more about it if it’s breast cancer.
