D day is here!
After being left quite ill after a failed iron infusion, but made better by one which worked with a
blood
transfusion
, feeling good. Thats not to say that there arent butterflies, of course there are. But had a good day yesterday, at Brisyol zoo watching the bears.

A Big Thankyou
They have meant such a lot.I had my
blood
transfusion
on Fri ( a delay on the Weds) and this morning I feel like I have more energy. So hopefully I will shrug off this virus soon. Much Love and hugs to you all in the struggle. BB. xx

Coincidence?
Doctor has taken me off peg completely, and is recommending Rux (Jakafi) next month, going in for a
blood
transfusion
tomorrow, so hopefully will feel better after that. Had EPO injections doubled to twice a week.

therapy: https://healthunlocked.com/amneasier/posts/147591737/anti-ageing-turn-back-the-clock-on-disease-and-all-that. An excellent post. So good, it garnered no interest at all on here. I still can't let this one lie though.

Uncooperative GP
Since then I have seen a haematologist who has been a great help with iron and a
blood
transfusion
which has made me feel a lot better. But I'm still tired all the time, with pins and needles in my hands and feet, and terible cramps in my thighs and hands.

New ER for low hemoglobin
If not, a
blood
transfusion
. She also mentioned the possibility of rhitazitabe (excuse the spelling). I definitely did not want to say yes to a drug treatment without a specialist.

Injection of Rituxan
A
blood
transfusion
helped, but not enough. I had my first of four Rituxan infusions in the hospital and one outpatient thus far. Numbers are improving and no adverse reactions. I now have a CLL specialist, Dr. Scott Huntington, Smilow Cancer Center, Yale New Haven Hospital CT.

Low Blood Sugar
A few patients with haemolysis will develop severe hypoproliferative anemia during severe viral infections in which case the Dapsone would need to be stopped and a
blood
transfusion
may need to be given. I felt that at the moment the benefit of Dapsone outweighs this potential risk.

blood transfusions
What was odd was he had a
blood
transfusion
on Dec 30 then labs again on Jan 2 and the numbers improved but then did labs again today Jan 4 and they are getting low again to the numbers at the end of December. He started a clinical trial on Jan 3 disc 0974 which is suppose to help with the anemia.

Start of my Stem Cell Journey 0.3
My Haematologist said the cut off for me to start
blood
transfusion
was 80, but was happy to carry on the treatment and to have more bloods done in 3 weeks time. So fast forward my red cells have dropped to 76 and my platelets are 34.

Low iron levels with a heart condition
To make matters worse, I unfortunately had a bowel bleed in February 2023 resulting in need a
blood
transfusion
. I was put on ferrous sulphate for 3 months and at the end of the 3 months I started to feel really good and finally my hair stopped falling out.

Perplexed over lab work
I should have received a
blood
transfusion
after giving birth based on my extremely low hemoglobin after birth but didn't (I didn't see those results until I happened upon them over a year later). I've struggled with anemia, low iron, low b-12, low ferritin and low folate since then.

Side effects of Zytiga?
His hemoglobin is also low (68) ang got a
blood
transfusion
last week. His doctor recommends chemo as next step. Anyone experience the same? Will a chemo helps him? He is a bit hesitant now to try chemo and losing faith. Any advise or recommendation is greatly appreciated.
