I had this for years and i,m still here! don,t worry..... I had it for a while because i never went to doctor and never had a place like this to ask questions to put my mind at rest with all these great people..........god bless and best wishes

Yup! Been there. Still there. The only difference is that I no longer take a blind bit of notice of it. Mine stated about thirty years ago and it was that that set me off on this road. It is a perfectly normal reaction to stress. Anyway, that's my story and I am still here. Have had countless ECG's. In fact I think I wore out the doctors machine!!! In technical terms this is called 'systoles and exra systoles'. One is the out pumping of the heart and the other the inflow of blood. The 'skipped' beat is when the heart, due to stress, misses a beat it makes up for it by doing an extra one. Skipping! The heart is a very strong pump and will not fail if we keep it healthy. But that is another story. The thing to remember, warkie, is that it is of no consequence whatsoever, so do not worry. Best wishes. jonathan.

Same here, I had it during exercise - it's quiet scary . thinking that we going to pass out during treadmill. But I think we should continue take up exercise, yoga etc. we must beat this problem before it beat us. tips from my nutritionist take calcium magnesium and B complex , CQ10,protein will help you to calm down --- hope it works to you too.

Hiya warkie yes the old extra strong heart beat or ectopic heartbeat or post ventricular contraction PVC I've mentioned this to many drs it doesn't seem to bother them so I don't let it bother me . A couple of yrs ago I had a heart attack and they fix you up to monitors for a couple of days and I used to watch it for something to do and I got these heart beats they didn't show on the monitors I mentioned it to the cardiologist and got a flea in my ear for watching the monitor he said they were normal things which I suppose being health anxious makes us more alert to the feeling Ignore em if you can chalk it up to another anxiety pest that comes to annoy us anyway you take care look after yourself. Me too! I notice them when I'm trying to unwind and settle down for sleep. They don't worry me as much as they used to. I do remember when they did though....not pleasant at all! and scary. If I have just eaten I get them too, this anxiety tries to rob us of all the nice times in life, don't let it x Ella x
