Anxiety anniversary.

So it seems like I only come back here when times get bad, however, I have to ask. Anyone here notice their anxiety gets worse on the anniversary of the day of your first attack? Cause mine flared to full blown anxiety attack today after not having a full blown one since like December. I dunno if it could also be the fact I had a bunch of caffeine last week accidentally (didn't know slurpees had caffeine), or the fact I'm going through a rough patch in my relationship, or just a combo of all three. But if anyone has experienced this, let me know.

Hi TrippyMcGuire762, I was wondering where you were. That's okay to come back when things get rough. It sounds like possibly a combination of things causing the anxiety to get worse. I don't think it physically is caused from it being the anniversary of your first attack unless emotionally you set yourself up for disaster. Don't forget our mind is powerful and affects our body.

I didn't know that slurpees had caffeine in them, hmmm You may be able to slip a little caffeine in if life is a bowl of cherries at the time but add caffeine to relationship issues and it will make anxiety surface.

I hope this rough patch doesn't last too long but we are here to get you through this. :)

Yeah, they do. I just learned that too. Turns out that they have like 10mg less than whatever beverage they were made to imitate (IE 50mg in mtn dew is 40 in a comprable size slurpee). I drank a monster flavored one they released as a deadpool branded one and ended up consuming 560mg in two days after being clean for a year. Got heart palpitations as a result, but that was a week ago so...

Wow...I'm sorry about that but we learn from each other on this forum. Thank you for sharing that experience. It may save someone else from going through the same thing.

No problem. I just feel horribly drained and it feels like my mind is racing a million miles a minute right now. I mean, I ended up going to bed at 6pm and just woke up like 2 minutes ago and still feel drained and a bit messed up.
