Anxiety from indigestion

I work 12 hour shifts and when I,work nights I often eat around 11pm. There have been two mornings about 4 am that my solar plexus seems to tighten up or get agitated and then pushes on my diaphragm causing me to lose my breath and send me into a panic attack. After some reading it appears my solar plexus is being irritated by indigestion. Has anyone else experienced this?

TXanxiety74, the solar plexus holds the seat of our emotions..It makes sense

that eating late causing it to push up on the diaphragm making it feel hard to breathe.

Yes, I have experienced that myself especially when under stress.

Using meditation and breathing exercises before bed may help relax those upper

stomach areas. Is there a way you can change your heavier meal to earlier in the day

with a lighter meal at 11pm? Have you talked with your doctor regarding gerds?

Wishing you well. :) xx
