Please ignore the pressure to be achieving things.

Lot's of survivor porn "suggestions" on isolation/quarantine advice. People saying you should be productive or promoting ways on how you should be living your life. Please know that whatever you are doing is probably all right. You don't have to learn that thing that you always wanted to learn or do. Please ignore the pressure to be achieving things. Everyone should go through this in their own way. Consider trying to move your body a little bit every day, but you're not a bad person if you don't come out of this being a handstand expert! You're not inferior to others or a lesser person. You're just one of the billions of people, living your life.

Thanks for that Darryl. I always feel inadequate when I hear what others are achieving in the lockdown. I am pleased for them of course that they managing to be so productive when all I can do is stare at jobs I should be doing and beating myself up for being lazy. x

Exactly Hypercat. We just have to do what gets us through. Hey that rhymes 😁. That’s a good mantra ;)

Thankyou. this helps a lot. Felt guilty for not spring cleaning my already clean house and starting new hobbies. I have fibromyalgia and other health issues so I never felt much like it anyway. Hearing someone else give permission in a way and say it’s okay not too relieved my anxiety. Bless you 😊

Good advice. But for me I am more anxious if I don’t do something. Even if it is just going for a walk. I need to see people and I need to socialize in some way either by phone or text. I don’t have friends (socially awkward) so I fear being alone and that of course adds to my depression.
