Propranolol with asthma

Need advice. Has anyone taken propranolol with asthma before? I would like to start taking them for my palpitations but understand they can effect asthmatics. I haven’t had an asthma attack for about 10 years but still take medication daily for my asthma.

When I had Graves’ disease and was really ill with terrible palpitations etc I was told I couldn’t take beta blockers because of my asthma- which is so ‘not bad’ that I actually wonder if I have it. I wouldn’t say I have ever had an asthma attack, I just burnt myself out one day when we were cycling up a hill.
