Go back to your GP, sounds like you need re- assessment of your medication. Hope you feel better soon. Lou x

Hi I used to be on Propranolol and at first took _40mgr three times a day which totally wiped me out ,I felt so tired I could haveslept all day! It did help with racing heart but I needed to be alert for my job.I went back to the doc and my dosage was tweaked.I was given 10 mgr to take and could take up to 4 tablets on a morning and evening.I didn't take any on an evening tho,coz I suffer early morning anxiety and panic! They did help me out with the racing heart (I wanted to stay away from antidepressant s having a bad experience in the past) While you are on Propranolol make sure you don't have too much caffeine it doesn't interact well ! The odd cuppa won't do anything but if you have too much it can make your body go into overdrive!

Take care and hope this helps you out a bit

Find another GP they have no right to make you feel uncomfortable. I moved to a different practice never looked back. x

That is just a way your body found to keep the blood going where it must go. If the pressure is low, your heart has to pump quickly. It is just a compensation. Try to do some exercise. Aerobic. Start gently.

Hi: I was on Propranolol years ago and literally was on my hands and knees because I felt so dizzyheaded. I went to the neurologist who put me on Metropolol and I am doing fine. It's a matter of finding what works best for you. You need to contact your doctor. These blood pressure meds can really help anxiety but you have to be on the right med and the right dose or you will be trading one problem for another.

I was on propranolol and my heart rate went into the 40's they switched me to Metropolol without the issues as well.
