Sleeping tips?

I have a question for all of you who has/had trouble sleeping... how did you regulate it? I’m trying so hard to set my sleeping pattern but I find myself awake every night untill 5AM or 6AM and then sleep untill 2PM 🤦🏼‍♀️ And oftentimes I feel sooo sleepy during the whole day but as soon as the night comes I am fully awake.

I tried reading a book, not drinking caffeine, putting electronics in another room and that didn’t work so I’m running out of ideas.

Hey masa, when I have anxiety I run into the same issues, here is a list of things I try, each one doesnt work all the time but I am sure one of these will help:

• Lavendar essential oils

• Listening to guided meditation for stress videos on youtube

• Listening to a comforting audiobook

• Eating a turkey dinner before bed (you will not last a minute)

• And finally a hot shower before bed

Hope one of these helps you, keep us updated!

Hang in there it will be fine!

Hello there and thank you for the tips!

It’s 4:28am here and I’m still wide awake! Will try youtube meditation immediately :)

Hi masa!

It sounds like the sleep cycle is all shifted right now...

I suggest you try to break the cycle by getting up at a certain time in the AM every single day, no matter what time you went to sleep. Say, 7 or 8 AM. Yes you'll be tired but it's no big. It'll help you be sleepier at the right time of night.

This is part of "sleep hygiene".

Lastly, I highly recommend this book:

psychcentral.com/lib/the-ef...

I am a recovered insomniac. Practice sleep hygiene, learn to minimize the sleep problem/lose any fear of not sleeping - the body then takes care of itself and gets all the rest/sleep it needs.

I hope this helps!

Thank you so much! :)

I will check the links you shared with me now and try to implement advice! :)

I am currently working on getting up earlier, but I find it hard to stay awake during the day. Like I literally can’t control falling asleep during day due to tiredness... a couple of times I did manage to wake up early and get through the day but no difference in night time - still awake till 5 or 6 am :/

Try MINDFULNESS Relaxation Technique in bed or just before sleep

Try not to eat supper two or three hours before sleep a full tummy will prevent sleep

Arrange sleep to follow a regular time in the evening, also get up the same time in the morning. That may help
