Disapointment and rejection

I let a guy know i liked him at work but he didnt respond too well first i asked him would he like to be friends and he said nen and women cant be friends so i asked would he like more and he ran away then he came bk and was all embarassed and so was i then he said i cant do this here so i carry on my work then i had finished so went home and on the monday he wasnt sating anything so i asked what his answer was and he saud i was demanding then i got on with my job and then he come up 2me and said you dont like my bad habbits like drinking coz he knows i lost my brither to drink and now i feel really hurt as i saw signs that he liked me anyway now he keeps trying to talk to me but i cant because im protecting myself
