What a great thing. I felt better today and it was only the first day. I think it just felt good to talk to someone.
I had went to my gastrointestinal doctor today for a check up... when they went to take my vitals it was 150/96 which is extremely high for me... mine is usually 117/78 range.
I had like a panic attack pretty much the whole time I was there and all the way back home. Seriously it was awful....
I just started on Buspar on Saturday and I guess maybe it gets worse before it gets better?
Anyways I came home and decided I really need help, like a lot. So I googled therapy and counseling and ended up going to a place right then. They talked to me about all kinds of stuff and they agree that I have generozed anxiety disorder with panic attacks. I start group therapy with other people with anxiety next week. I will go once a week. In April I will get to talk to a psychitrist and they will adjust my medication if needed.
This may be a good thing.
I will over come

That therapy outfit sounds very good, Elizabeth, do let us know how you get on. Yes, my BP jumps up from normal to getting dangerous when I enter any medical facility even though I think I'm quite relaxed. I've only ever had one panic attack, it was the day my anxiety neurosis (as GAD was called then) started 44 years ago so at least I know what they feel like. People who have mastered acceptance can carry on as normal through a panic attack I've read.
I think the medication ove been trying out may have blown things out of proportion for me.
Usually when I go to the doctor.. i can normally keep things pretty under control. I want to talk to my therapist about maybe trying to get off of medication and only use it as needed. I have been reading Claire weeks book and feel that if I don't have the side effects of medication in my system, I'll be able to better focus on my body and how to deal with things as mentioned in her book.
Way to go, Elizabeth04! Counselling/Therapy really seems to get folk on the road so stick @ it & don't forget the great guys who are here for you whenever you need a chinwag. Best wishes. 🇮🇪
